Don’t do it, game has sucked up over 2500 hours of my life :O

I jest, it’s a pretty awesome game. Real blast if you like ESO lore.

Look there are people who have spent that amount of time in Skyrim, and the game (Skyrim) in comparison to ESO, is tiny.
Only the base game has 1500-2000 hours worth of solo content. Then there are 2 big expansions (Morrowind and Summerset) a DLC as big (Wrothgar) plus smaller DLCs like Brotherhood & Thieves Guild, Murkmire
And all with great acting and dialogues for more atmosphere and thousands of quests of which found only 2 the same. (i do not count dailies). Yet more to be done.

The game is huge indeed, possibly the biggest "single player" RPG game ever made also.

I think your evidently missed my comment of it being a jest. Suffice to say at clocking up over 2000 hours I have a fair idea of the size and scope ;)

Disagree on some parts though, found plenty of very basic quests in the game that all play similar, while there are plenty of good ones, there are a number of meh ones also and that is me having completed pretty much everything bar starting merkmire. Don't get me wrong its a fantastic game, but there is also plenty of so so stuff which in a MMO is not unsurprising. But with that said, on balance the game is very good for most to jump into given the price its going for these days and improvements they have made.

Anyone want a cheap ESO t-shirt?

Just for the people that may not know, it was done this way as the product is exclusive for people that took part in recent game events. Their store probably doesn't allow for this kind of thing, so they have to put an absurdly large price and then sent the people discount coupons that bring it down to a normal price.

Thinking of pre-ordering the new expansion and getting the collector's edition upgrade. I really enjoyed Summerset Isle and would love to start playing again but I don't have a guild to talk to so it gets a little bit lonely at times.

I'm active in this game still, I'm part of an awesome active guild doing vet trials/dungeons weekly that's a good place to learn. They have a discord etc so if you want to add me (@M0RL3Y) I'm more than happy to invite you into the guild if you wanted!

Oh, cool. Thank you. I won't be able to do anything until next week but I'll be sure to hit you up. I'm @CromulentESO and will probably pre-order once I have sorted something out on Tuesday next week.

I started just before Christmas, and I'm enjoying it. The good thing is you can explore anywhere, as quests level for you. Coming from Everquest, I found this strange as you had your beginner zones, etc. ESO lets you find people everywhere to explore.

Do some crafting if you want, but I'd get out and explore and enjoy the character you've made.

If you have Morrowind or Summerset, it puts you into those locations first. I recommend going back to the base game starting location, This is

AD: Khenarthi's Roost --> Auridon --> Grahtwood
EP: Bleakrock Isle --> Bal Foyen --> Stonefalls --> Deshaan (Mournhold)
DG: Stros M'kai --> Betnikh --> Glenumbra --> Stormhaven

enjoy the questing and take your time. Eso is not a typical MMO where you are meant to rush to max level.

I'd also recommend learning the traits of anything you can, as this process takes forever. When you have an item with an uknown trait, go to a crafting station and learn the trait. This will deconstruct the item.

Lastly, level up your mount each day at a stable, as this also takes ages.

I pre-ordered the new expansion yesterday and signed up for ESO Plus while I was at it as I wanted to do some of the DLC I don't own. If the offer is still open I'll add you next time I am online.

Edit: The new zone guide on the public test server sounds really useful so you don't miss out on any content in the areas you have been to. Liking the look of that a lot.
