Well done Feek looks great. Really wanting to get one these but not keen on the IN-14's. I have bought a soldering iron, some kind of board and some resisters to see if it is possible for me to solder.
It's quite appropriate that there's a Russian on the radio in the background considering these are old Russian tubes.
Very pleased, it's a job well done [/font]
could you wire up a tiny radio on a little board underneath (or in the same case when you get/make one) that's tuned to some Russian talk station so it constantly quietly emits Russian

Hmmmmm...
All done!
The fiddliest bit was actually putting the tubes on the board, I didn't think his technique of trimming the legs to different lengths was any good so I didn't bother with that. Soldering nx6 was the trickiest due to slightly reduced space but that wasn't too hard really.
I reckon my total build time has been about four hours. It's sitting on my shelf right now running slots every minute but I'll change that after a few days. It's not in any case yet as I'll keep an eye out for suitable old kit to build it into.

Could I trouble you to put iPhone next to it? I like to see some size comparisons to real world objects.

Nice work! Nixies look great, very distinctive. I'm really keen to use these nixie bargraph tubes in something:

Though needing a log to lin circuit for audio applications is not so convenient.
Ha, that's really weird. From all the other pictures i thought it was about twice that size
Size isn't everything
That's not what Mrs Feek says.
What does she say?
