Otherwise, everything else seems a steady supply - and buying them from cheap traders like "Supervisor Green" in Greygarden.
 
Nope, well not that I've found anyway. Any building I've ever cleared has always remained cleared even if I have to go back to it at a later date for a quest

Same with Fallout 3 too

I believe so. I've definitely cleared areas a few days ago and looked on the map and they're not flagged as cleared any more. I've also gone back to areas like Concord and the raiders had respawned there. The PC thread has people reporting the same too. I think it might be somewhat random how quickly they respawn though.
 
yes certain locations do respawn

though an area north of the slog I cleared of supermutants hasnt respawned them in a week..but the radar dishes close to sanctuary have , as did the corvega factory

I think they respawn when you get any of the infinite missions for them, so clearing an area for settlements or rescuing someone etc.

I'm 25 hours in now, really getting into it and starting to absolutely destroy most things I come up against. I felt like I was so weak at the start but now I've got some decent weapons it's making killing things much more fun :)

I am finding that too, that power station I first visited was hard (level 6ish) but had to revisit that same place (level 33) for a Brotherhood Escort mission and I was practically one-shotting raiders with my upgraded rifle. Additional 60% damage from perks may have attributed to their demise.

Still scream at the sight of death claws / feral ghouls that sprints and lunge at me, but 80% of them die before they even touch me now.
 
Yeah the ghouls can certainly take you by surprise, and they're damn quick too. My main weapon, which I have named The Exploder, absolutely tears them apart. It has exploding shells that just blows their limbs off. I've also got a machine gun from a legendary drop that does extra damage against ghouls, it's called the ghoul slayer or something like that. Good fun to just do a quick burst of 3-4 bullets and see them drop.
 
I just use that punchy fist thing that you get from the 'SWAN'.

I love punching peoples heads off :D

It also means I get to save loads of ammo for bigger fights!
