I'm not getting the visual comments either. I'm running on high and it looks great. Sure the character models look dated but the environments outside of the vault look good.
Thought I would post it here for SLI users also
Got SLI working thanks to a Reddit post. Both cards are now being utilised.
Launch Nvidia Control Panel--> Manage 3D Settings --> Program Settings --> Select Fallout 4 (Fallout4.exe)-->change SLI Rendering Mode to: Force Alternate Frame Rendering 2. it will warn you against changing this setting, just hit okey and save.

Confirmed it works great, few times with everything maxed before dipped into the 50s on a single Titan X, now rock solid 60 fps.
This works for me.
Have an ancient pair of GTX680s and using the Ultra preset I was dipping under 60 a lot. 40s mostly outside.
manually setting the SLI profile to AFR2 done the trick and I have a solid 60 on Ultra now.
Trees look terrible, like cardboard cutouts.
Plenty bugs so far, randomly unable to move etc.

290,461 peak players today, not far off GTAVs record of 300k.

Gfx are bad I mean something is clearly wrong with the default gamma settings but it looks so poor. I hope it can be modded its so bad right now it takes you out of the game experience.
Bethesda really stretched this game engine too far the dated appearance is very noticeable
I recommend you go install fallout 3 and then see if you feel the same.
You sure you playing at 4K? I mean I agree at night the game does not look that good, but day time there is a huge difference to fallout 3. It's like night and day...
Maybe something wrong with your system though, as I am running it crossfire disabled so basically on a 290X at 4K and it works fine. No bugs or crashes yet and I played until I got to level 7 yesterday.
Only think I have on low is god rays aka gimpworks which makes little to no difference to graphics anyway. Also depth of field and motion blur, but those don't really make a difference to graphics, just weird settings developers like.

Anyone running 4k on a TX or Ti, if so what fps maxed out?(No AA).

tbh they look better than the trees in dirt rally they looked like green frosted shreddies on sticks
Played 100 mins so far game looks perfect. Huge improvements on skyrim and so much to do i barely made it to the first town.
People are gonna try to proove themselves right whilst they wait for it to come down in price
Same thing happened with skyrim but it was still one of the best releases for the year.Don't have the game myself but this site may be of use to others.

basically max it out and drop god rays down to keep frames up seams to have the biggest impact and if you're the sort of person who cares about stills in a game you probably have the power to handle it

I'm on a 980 ti single too, everything at max, including god rays on ultra, getting 60fps. I'm sure you can put god rays on ultra as well?

I was playing on the sofa with my gf next to me (also a gamer) and when the robot dude said 'Chris' for the first time, we both looked at each other in confusion lol. Such a simple yet effective touch!
Not had a single bug, trees look amazing, eery and dead.

Gotta say I'm really enjoying this, performs well, not a single crash with about 6hrs of play, only one glitch so far
Other than that I think looks quite good, particularly with reshade.
