**** Official Fallout 4 Thread ****

Enabling Alternate Frame Rending 2 and turning Godrays to low means I can run everything else in Ultra at 4k with smoothness.

Titan X SLI

Is SLI working VincentHanna? Could you turn one card off and let me know what FPS you get, I'm hoping for 40FPS+, as I'm running G-Sync and a 1525mhz TX should get a little more and still be smooth and butter.

Right managed an good hour last night and I only have two niggles so far...

Using the terminals in vault 111 leads to graphical glitches and complete loss of keyboard movement - very annoying. I find a lot of quick saving helps. Any solution to this, I can't go on avoiding terminals! I haven't tried any outside yet.

The second minor annoyance is that I keep using stimpacks intentionally, I keep hitting the 0 key on my numpad  You can't rebind that key, can you?

Apart from that, I'm loving it!

limit fps and check ini files for key bindings.

I had the same glitch with the overseer terminal in vault 111, had to reload a quicksave and it worked fine after that. I'm also about 6 hours in now and it hasn't happened again!

Anyone found a way to change the weapon sights key from hold to toggle?

I hate games that make you hold right mouse to zoom and shoot.. rather just toggle sights and get on with da killing

Running it at work. 32GB RAM, i7 3930k at 4.4Ghz, but only a GTX580. Running it on high @1080p and getting 40+ FPS, but it's stuttery. Looking forward to trying it at home with GTX670 SLI. Game needs better shadows. There are no dark shadows under objects like you'd expect, and SSAO doesn't seem to do much. Can't wait for the mods to arrive...

I'm a bit baffled by the settlement stuff (well, the crafting in general tbh). If you transfer suff to a workbench, can you use it on any workbench or is it just storing it?

I thought you dump stuff in the workbench, then whenever you build stuff that needs parts it will automatically break down the relevant stuff in your workbench (i.e. there is no manual breakdown step).

I don't think workbenches are shared. One review mentioned having to go back to another settlement to get a watch out of the workbench because a different settlement needed the gears.

You can edit the .ini file, thats what I did to get 3440x1440 res.

The file is in mydocuments/my games/fallout4/
It is Fallout4Prefs.ini

You need to edit:
bFull Screen=1
iSize H=1440
iSize W=3440

(of course to the res you want)

Fallout4prefs.ini in your My Games folder

iSize H=XXXX
iSize W=YYYY

Edit: Beaten to it :/

Cheers guys, will try it out later :D Only a few more hours of work to go!
