Soooo at the museum

Once I got the power armor and the mini gun, went onto the street to take care of those raiders and that DeathClaw comes from under the ground. It basically kills me in 2 hits. I fired roughly 500 mini gun bullets into it and it still didn't die. I basically got lucky on a re-load when it just randomly died after jumping out from the ground. Confused :S

I used the building on the right side for cover and just shot at it from the doorway. I think the Deathclaw is too large to fit through the door.

Has anyone freaked out at Codsworth saying your name yet? Was really unexpected when I heard it and didn't realize he can actually say about 1000 names. So small but impressive imo

Game has been delivered to my neighbours and they aren't home!

Is Steam allowing downloading of the game at a decent rate? I came home from work 3hrs early to play and I'm worried I won't even get on tonight now :(

Power armour. I don't want to use it really, I'm a stealth. But I've just been told you get this by level 3 as part of the introduction to the game!!!! You serious???? So you're OP from the get go?

Yea but, don't you then have it for the rest of the game?

I presume so, I've only just got it myself tbh, I'm Alt + Tabbing every so often to check back on comments :)

It requires Fusion Cores to run, which also depletes at you use the suit etc.. It’s also the only piece of armour you can equip that takes damage and requires repairs, and the maintenance takes up valuable resources. So in short you need to use it sparingly.
You can customise it to your tastes too, swapping out individual parts, adding paint jobs, jetpack boosters and unique capabilities.

Is this a joke? I ordered the dvd because i have awful 2 meg internet and been forgotten by bt, so i could avoid a big download, well this game installs to 5gb then has to download 20gb on steam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT A JOKE I CANT PLAY THIS FOR 20 HRS NOW

I think I'm going to crank the difficulty up on this, doesn't feel like too much of a challenge at the moment.

Also I'm really struggling to reconcile this game's place in the Fallout universe, it's a great standalone game and I'm really enjoying it but it just feels so radically different to FO3 and NV that my mind can't link it to the previous two. The differences in the world, in the pickups and object design, crafting mechanics and the way you're given a slew of weapons you're competent with from the get go. Yeah the guy was in the army so probably knows how to handle a gun, but I dunno it just doesn't feel canon.

Like I said, I'm really enjoying what I'm playing and it's a rich and gorgeous world to explore but I'm really hoping there's more lore and tie ins to come as the story develops.
