Power armour. I don't want to use it really, I'm a stealth. But I've just been told you get this by level 3 as part of the introduction to the game!!!! You serious???? So you're OP from the get go?

I am guessing the early power armour is nothing compared to upgrades and other parts you can get for it so I wouldn't worry about it being OP.

It's not as OP to start with as you might think, all is good sir :)

Is this a joke? I ordered the dvd because i have awful 2 meg internet and been forgotten by bt, so i could avoid a big download, well this game installs to 5gb then has to download 20gb on steam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT A JOKE I CANT PLAY THIS FOR 20 HRS NOW

Its about time all sellers of PC media have to include the amount on disk i dodged a bullet with mgs5 and konami didn't think for one second Bethesda would pull the same trick.

PC gaming is a cruel world for people with lousy internet these days.

Okies :)

I've pretty much got to the first bandits firing upon the library/town hall/what ever it is, not entered the building yet. I assume I'm not far from getting the armour.

After I've done the introduction quests. I'm just going to go and live off the land :)

Same here I prefer a stealthy agile character but the power armour will no doubt prove very useful for certain quests/enemies especially once you've upgraded it. No chance of wearing it constantly you can only repair it at craft stations and requires fusion core which seem pretty darn rare or 500+ caps from a vendor if you're lucky enough to find one with them. You can also find other power armour sets in the world you can strip for parts or build another one.

Giving up with building a settlement at sanctuary, it's way too open and building fences is doing my head trying to get them to line up - why no snapping?!

Yeah it sucks. Honestly i'd recommend just getting it digitally even if you do have a slow connection. You are always going to get day one patches these days (even if the game is actually installed from disk) so you will still be in for a wait on release day.

If you had bought fallout digitally you could have at least started the download a couple of days ago.

It doesn't matter how you want to play. You will kill a load of people in power armour with a minigun, and that is that.

Role-playing FTW!

It is kind of strange, I have found power cores for the Power Armour all over the place(I've got 8 atm). It really is like they want you to use it from the start.

The game is incredible I haven't had this much fun in such a long time... the endless crafting abilities are superb. Your dog companion is fantastic. The quick slots for adding faves are awesome you can select 12 faves to add to the slots and you use your D-Pad to select the equipment, if using a controller.

I could go on.. I'm just heading for Diamond City now and all I can say is WOW the game is superb. 10/10 so far from me.

This. Got so many fusion cells also. Combine with the perk:
Which extends the life of fusion cells, I am getting more cells faster then I am depleting them. Imo after a few hours, I think with a few perks in the right places, you can pretty much go through full power suit.

I Just fast travel back a power suit stand after major battles and patch the suit up. Steel is usually plentiful, pretty much been in my power Armor non-stop since first getting it.

My only issue so far is ammo seems to be rare or is dropping in small quantities. Also costs a pretty penny to actually buy some. Usually takes more bullets to down the enemy then I get in return :o
