Does anyone actually use caps in this game? I just sell Jet and excess ammo :p

Same here, sell all my 5.56mm, .38 and 5mm rounds to buy the ammo I need. Plus sell all the crap 'legendary' guns and armour I cant scrap. Also them cores you put in the power armour, I haven't used power armour since the beginning where you are forced to use it, so have loads of them built up.

Caps are almost useless to me.

Use the power armor and replace the core just before it gets auto replaced and sell the used core for same price as normal one.

Starting to get really annoyed with all the radiant quest especially when they don't even make sense. Earlier today I had a farm asking for help with ghouls on the other side of the map. Pretty much all my other settlements were closer to the location they sent me to.

Is there a way of making them less frequent? I know there's a mod to turn them off but I don't mind doing them from time to time.

Jet is so easy to source and make - worth a fair whack too when you have a good charisma and the right perks.

Nice bug though!

Stumbled upon the making jet aswell. Had a shedload of material to make the stuff which built up over time. Had enough to jump nearly 2 levels :D

Loving this mod, you can customise the hell out of the combat armour. There are loads of decals to choose from, just picked these to show the range from silly to kinda cool. There's also an agents of shield one .

I hear you. I had two in a row for Sanctuary which is essentially a fortress with all the building I've done, about 20 settlers plus most of my "spare" companions on down time. Better defended than Diamond City!

I *think* if you just let the quest expire (i.e. get the "Time running out" warning, then the "Failed - speak to Garvey", so long as you don't actually go and see Garvey the next radiant mission doesn't spawn. Presumably if you don't check in with Garvey (or the BoS/Railroad) if you finish the quest but don't report, though of course you don't get the completion XP.

It's particularly annoying having decided to push the main storyline forward a bit to get the messages pop up when I'm deep in the
bowels of Fort Hagen going head to head with Kellogg and his escorts.
Sorry but that bunch of farmers need to man up and fend for themselves!

30 hours into the game. I have the long overdue Widows 10 upgrade hanging over me. What impact will it have? Anybody done this mid-game?

I'm off work next week so its a good chance to get the upgrade done, but not if its going to screw up my saves and mods.

Where are the save games if I want to back them up anyway?

Not sure where the saves are, but I had no games object to my win 10 upgrade at all. This was pre-fo4 so not precisely your situation.

google suggests:
My Documents > My Games > Fallout4 > Saves
Documents > Saved Games > Fallout4 > Saves

The trick is to complete the current quest with him, then run away before he cab finish his sentence about having another job :D

That and stay the hell away from the castle and it's ***** radio quest giver

43Hours and finished the story quests, went Brotherhood of steel route, Well i did enjoy it but need a break so think i will move onto my other games.

The ending i got was weak and from what ive seen of the others there all pretty meh, still i found it fun and the exploring and side missions were fun in particular the silver shroud and the one for bobbi and the robbing situation stand out abit for me.

I did ignore most of the settlement building as i found it a bore and too fussy, Crafting was good and the power armor was fun to use if abit over powered as fusion cores were VERY easy to get ahold of.

On a slightly different note, I have an objective stored in my Miscellaneous quests to talk with Danse (BoS). However every time I approach him to initiate a conversation, can't engage the options just utters a platitude and walks off. Is this a known issue or waiting for a trigger event, or is something borked?

Happens to me nearly 50% of the time, really annoying. I normally walk away few steps then engage with the NPC again, normally works on the second attempt to have a conversation.

You need to do the next main story quest and then you can hook up with Danse and the BoS.

Was working along the Freedom trail from
(Location)
Swan's Pond

and encountered the Mirelurk Queen. I was not expecting two bosses to be so close together. I was not equipped for the Queen, so I'm going to note that location and return with a few fat mans :D
