**** Official Fallout 4 Thread ****

Those E3 videos were available when pre-orders were available, if not slightly before. Not sure what has suddently changed between placing your order and today to make the Pipboys 'crap and cheap'.

I think they look pretty decent. More than good enough to sit on my shelf, I have no plans to actually use it.

Walk down town with it on your arm.....SWAG overload! :p

Perhaps an idiot question, from my spec below I'm by and large fine... but I only have 4gb of Ram, recommended specs are 8gb. Do you see that to be a problem or can I get away with 4 for a little while longer?

Can you fit another 4GB in? Even if you currently have 4x1GB and therefore no slots left, replacing it with 8GB shouldn't be too expensive as DDR3 is currently cheap. It might be worth doing. Or you could wait and see if you think FO4 is playable with your current setup and buy more memory if you don't.

I'm a bit concerned because I'm still using a Core 2 Quad 6600, albeit overclocked to 3.2GHz, and although I have 8GB it's DDR2-800. That seems under spec for FO4, but I'm not really in the market for most of a new PC (given that I'd have to change motherboard, CPU, memory and probably OS as well as I have an OEM license, I'd probably end up buying a new PC and moving my graphics card and drives over).

I had a worrying thought this morning. What if fallout 4 is no good? I litersll wouldn't know what to do with myself. What would I play instead? Where would I get my fallout-y fix?

Don't understand why anybody would want such junk as the Pipboy.
Just buy the game, why pay extra for useless rubbish.

It'll probably be worth a fair bit one day. I still have a mint condition metal fallout lunchbox with bobblehead and art book etc in my cupboard. I think they go for quite a bit now.

Argh, so I've just learned that Bespoke Offers has closed, and I placed my pre-order through them (although as far as I can tell the actual order is with a third party game retailer).

They've said all existing orders will be honoured, so I <should> be ok...

I've emailed the retailer to find out if they've got my order and will still be processing it as normal, but if not, where is the best place to pre-order a physical copy?

Gamestop are giving away a free Bobblehead with it (and seem to be cheapest as well), anyone else giving away goodies with pre-orders?

Disaster averted! Received reply from the seller, my pre-order is fine and will be shipped on the 9th! :D

Replay 3 and NV (again... :p)

This. I sold a collectors edition copy of WoW original a couple of years ago, opened and codes used, for £60 (basically what I paid for it), unopened ones were going for £600+! Given how popular the FO franchise is, unless 4 turns out to be an utter disaster (please don't be :S) then I can't see the Pip-boy edition doing anything but increasing in value, especially if you keep it in mint condition

Thing I am looking forward to the most is the first week of mods, it's going to be hectic! Hopefully the Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch will hit within the first few days, one thing we know about Bethesda is how buggy their games are!

How well do you think my i5 4670 stock will cope with the game?. I have a 980 gpu and 16mb ram so I'm good there. Bit worried about the cpu as I will want to pretty much max out the graphics at 1080p
