**** Official Fallout 4 Thread ****

I do wonder who made the decision to release this on a Tuesday?? Why not last Friday, so that everyone has the weekend to play.

Just wondered, who sat down and thought...."hey, lets release it midweek, when most people are either at work, or school/college and cant play our new game we have released."....

It is also quite common for developers/publishers to see that copies are leaking and to tell steam to just unlock it a little early.

Tuesday is indeed a strange day to release it.

Probably didnt want it to coincide with the latest Call of Duty when the mindless drones are out buying that :p

Tuesday is a pretty standard release day for major new releases, and has been for a while. It's driven by US retail: Eurogamer article. Most major releases are on a Tuesday; Destiny, Halo series, COD series etc. That said Black Ops 3 recently had a global release date on a Friday so maybe a trend to re-look at US release dates.

EDIT: Beaten by Sega Mega Dave :)

Its got an Embargo on it till launch day for reviews, Thats whats putting me off really that usual always ends badly!

I loved Fallout 3 didnt really like New Vegas though

this doesnt mean anything any more mate, most games do it now. New CoD did it, heck even gta 5 i think? its just becoming a thing really
