I've never played more than a few hours of a fallout game so I'm going in a bit blind. I hope it isn't overhyped.

All games are over hyped, it's what drives sales. The lower; more reasonable; your expectation is the more chance you'll enjoy it.
Super excited for this game.
I will finally be able to play this after work on tuesday morning so 2 days left for me. Until then i will not read a single post regarding a review or potential spoilers, no really i wont.

I actually took time off work for this. I have to work tomorrow and few hours Tuesday , then I'm off until the following Monday.

Yeah, I'm the same. When Skyrim released, god knows how many hours I sank into it on its first week!

I'm honestly not sure how reviews can help with a game like this.
It's a triple A title from Bethesda, so you know the quality will be there in terms of direction, visuals, voice work etc.
As far as game style is concerned, it's a Fallout title, we know how they play.
The only thing you can possibly learn from a review is whether or not the reviewer likes it, and as a rule I'm less interested in what other people may or may not like.
(This all assumes there isn't some huge broken ass performance issue a la Batman)

I kept on delaying buying this game, because of GMG being thick. It was 27.99 around, Wednesday on CDKeys and by, Friday it went up a quid. So I waited hoping the price will go back down, but it only went up, right now it's £31.9 and is only 9p cheaper than GMG at this point. I hope it drops by tomorrow evening.

Yeah from what I've played so far the game is pretty damn similar to Fallout 3, but in some places it straight up copies stuff over, which is a shame.
And I know this to be excepted (not saying that Bethesda should be exempt though), but the story/writing is yet again awful unfortunately. I literally cringed at just some of the stupid and contrived plot points they managed to pull out the bag this time. When you guys play it, you'll know what I mean.

Didn't like FO3, liked NV. Unsure what to do.
I didnt, even thought I beat the main story and
Daddy dying
I enjoyed skyrim a lot more because the world felt much more living not to mention conversations dont pause the gameworld and the animations, graphics etc were miles improved.
So just because you didnt like FO3 doesnt mean you wont like FO4.
