**** Official Fallout 4 Thread ****

Unlocking now looks like its at least 25-30 mins unless Steam gets hammered for bandwidth due to all the decryption network traffic as it seems to talk to Steam a lot during this process.
 
Bloody Nora this has gripped me! The world is so... Empty and barren! I'm loving it!

Not played much, but enough to know this is all I'm doing for the rest of the month lol.

On my 980ti, I've removed vsync via ini files and locked it on Nvidia control panel. And also increased the FOV to 90.
 
What sort of idiot at Valve thought it was a good idea to have a launch update?? Seriously,couldn't have they done it hours ago?? Very amateurish by Valve. Shame,we can't launch it before the update.
 
Just installing to my HDD now :D, then ill update my GPU drivers. I wont get much played tonight maybe a half hour as im tired but heres hoping everything runs perfectly :).

Ill certainly be getting straight back onto it tomorrow though.

Really? Having just played for a bit, my opinion has drastically changed. The atmosphere and graphics are perfect. Absolutely perfect for this game.

The only thing it needs is bloody HBAO, not having ambient occlusion around items is just a step back. I'm sure an ENB will fix this. I'll test tomorrow. I won't be touching anything else, the colour palette is perfect. Not 'washed out', it's a post apocalyptic setting, not Essex on Friday night with neon lights.

Fallout 3/Vegas are terrible by today's standards, but I was playing Fallout 3 the other day!

Had a nap, got coffee and chocolate, just finished watching The Book of Eli, and crossing my fingers for a stable 5 hour session :)
