**** Official Fallout 4 Thread ****

Hmm, I've built a badass defense tower at the bridge in sanctuary and haven't had a single raid ever.

For that same matter, my water purifiers work but don't give me anything: in the workbench thingy no excessive water comes in?!

Same here, Sanctuary has never actually been raided once. Not sure if that may have to do with all my followers possibly usually being located there. Would be messy otherwise as I have 50 full suits of power armour collected there :o

But yeah, mechanics of being under attack do annoy me as some locations 4-5 bandits attack and are usually killed before I properly spawn in after a fast travel and get going.

Guys I'm having a few issues since updating to the new AMD drivers ! The map icons are flashing and also I have no idea where to carry on quests as it doesn't show me ? any ideas ,

Guys, what about all these Mods I'm accumulated in my Inventory taking up space? If I don't have them applied to any of my weapons is it alright to store them until I do?

I store them in the weapons workbench.

go to Mods inventory filter, move them all, job done :)

Same with apparel and weapons. Stored in separate containers. Until I get that sweet weapon display mod.

Would be nice to have a apparel display, with like, a dummy. That'd make for one creepy museum.

Roll back I'm afraid, there are known issues with the Crimson drivers and the 290 series of cards :o

So if I store them in the weapons workbench will they be available at all of my other settlement's benches? I'm sure I read that was a perk you had to gain :(

I'm treating Sanctuary as my 'home' base so I dump most of my bounty there. My Bobblehead collection is in my room over at Vault 81...

I used Red Rocket as my maain hub, im constantly tweaking my settlements and once you figure how to build without the walls snapping etc you can get some pretty decent camps going that are not just right angles

Only thing which makes it a real pain for me are trying to build on un even surfaces, but im getting there :)

You need Charisma 6 and Local Leader 1 so you can set up Supply Lines between your Settlementss, then you be able to use things across your Settlement. Well, only from those Settlerments that are linked, but you get the picture. :)

Not by me, I tried to assign them but I can't click on the purifiers and can only send settlers there with go.

You can't assign Settlers to your Water Purifiers, any excess water it produces will end up in your Workbench. Some of it that it being produces will be consumed by your workers but if you have more then one you should, unless they nerfed it with last update, give you a rising water supply.

Edit: Just started the game quickly to check and seems like it don't add any water now. So that function might been nerfed out then, some time ago I checked and left with 100 unit in the workbench and it's not increased, this was a couple game days ago so should have increased. Have to investigate further next time I play, now it's time for a movie I think. :)

The weapons they have have unlimited ammo, but if you give them a weapon to use, they only have the ammo you give them. This is certainly true for companions so I assume it applies to settlers in your bases too.

On another note, (and don't tell me where to find them!) but I'm confused how people have so many power armour frames. I have 4 so far, in about 95 hours (level 36)!

You actually don't stumble across that many frames. I think I found about 10 (if I recall correctly) in total by the time I got to level 110 at about 150 hours in. The rest or so (about 50 that is) I brought whenever I had spare caps. The power armour frames always replenish at vendors.

Whats the chances of this becoming sub £20 in steam sale?
Should i take the ~£25 from keysites or wait ?

no matter how cheap the steam sale goes it will rarely drop below cdkey site prices.

Saying that im hoping for a phantom pain reduction, its only a couple of days wait anyway so prob worth waitin unless your dying to get it now

Some of the open worlds one respawn so you can get multiple ones that way (there's one I've looted about 5 times now where a raider will imediately run to get in it, but if you approach from the right angle you can take him out before he does), I'd presume at least some of the other open world ones work that way as well. That and ones left over at the end of a fight that game still has marked as owned. When I'm the only thing standing in a three mile radius and all those raiders died before they could get to that suit of theirs I don''t feel it's particularly wrong to pop open the console and use set ownership on it. Your mileage may vary on that one of course.

Ah yes your right. I recall there being one location now (likely to be more) where the stand re spawns with some raider armour on it. Alas by then had plenty. If its the same one I am thinking about, it appears that getting in it or taking the parts is the same as stealing it, which is dumb.

Game had it for £25 today I think.

I grabbed a hard copy from Game on Fri, but as you still have to download most of it, which renders having the disk a bit pointless... the price is good though.

My first impressions were awful, but I'm coming around to the game. I loved Skyrim, but have found the post nuclear setting of this is hard for me to enjoy. However I've now added some green vegetation and an ENB config to make things a bit nicer on the eye (no doubt a terrible thing to do to a Fallout game :p ) and I'm actually enjoying the graphics now. A few tweaks have helped performance too, which was terrible out of the box.

Well I'm thinking of two, there's one outside the Federal Ration Stockpile in a container, if you approach from the East you can usually stop the raider entering it, and that one isn't flagged as owned and I've nabbed it a couple of times myself for frames so I know that one respawns. Then there's one a bit further south where there's always a raider armour, you can damn near always kill them all before anyone gets near it, yet it's still "stolen"

As I said, I have no qualms about using setownership on that one, at least until I have enough frames to have a suit ready for each companion and a few set ups for myself.
