For some people, 60-120 are the same. To others, 90 is vastly different to 120. 60 is fine. 30 on a console looking fine to you when it doesn't necessarily look acceptable on a PC could be due to the distance you're sitting.

6870 I meant

well i got 5770 hd I thought id need upgrade soon but fifa 1 demo and bf3 play great

as for fps its capped at 60hz on lcd unles you have 120hz model?

I used to get 90-120hz on my crt but obvioulsy I cant compare now as my lcd only goes up to 60hz right.

I dunno if its worht double price for 120h monitor

IMO 60 is very good but I can see 90 as smoother. though 40-50 is still playable with litte bother...Under 35fps and I start to dislike it

Contacted Live Chat Support ... can take up to 4 hours to come through BUT may be as long as 8 unless you use PayPal . Oh and I reckon this only applies to first time users / buyers.

Quick question, read earlier in this thread the game requires origin to play, so if I buy a boxed copy can I then play without the disc in once its installed?

My mates bought it both on dvd and they are able to play without it being in the drive, that said they both had to d/load it through Origin anyway.
 
Can everyone add me to friends? I need people to compare my crap to and hopefully play against when i finally get any good :D

What is the point in having a disk :/ find that so stupid I think each need to follow steam tbh. I have 2 ps3 games I was gonna trade in asda and put the rest to it but that's put me off would you say avoid it. I'm not a huge Footy fan but do enjoy them
 
Got no surround sound via my AV receiver on this, 2.0 only. FIFA11 surround worked fine...has anyone else experienced this? Any solutions? Audio is over HDMI, GPU is a 5770.

No idea mate, but I reckon it's just a mistake at the minute and I'm sure EA / Origin will sort it out at some stage.
 
To clear that up re: installation...the Origin client will try to download the game if there is an internet connection. If you let the Origin client authenticate the DVD and then kill the internet, it will install from the DVD.

Either way, the 3GB patch must be downloaded via the Origin client once the game is installed.

No DVD required to play.

I'm pretty sure that the PC version doesn't have surround sound this time.

Nice one Sweey thanks for clearing that one up, can't wait to tell the mates who d/loaded it :D

Oh and for the record.... still waiting on my email containing d/load info :( Been in contact with CC company and they said EA still aint run a check .... unreal !
 
Just played a few games and i am finding the new defnding mechanics need some getting used to.
Also suffering form the usual Fifa problem that whoever you are the opposing team is twice as fast as you. Does anyone else find that there is not much point playing on anything other than beginner? atm i'm on intermediate but it is ridiculous. I'm sorry but Richard Dunne simply can not outpace Hernandez, especially not as easily as he does in this.
