*** Official FIFA 12 Thread ***

Sorry if this has been asked a hundred times already but is the PC version a gimped version of the console game or is it basically the same game.

I'm sorely tempted to get it as I've got a discount code for origin to use up but don't want to drop £20 on a pile of poo.

I thought something as much would work. I was just wondering as I really could not wait for 9gb+ to download at 250kbps at Uni.

Same game. Only difference mentioned so far is that the PC version only has 2.1 sound, not surround.

Gameplay, AI, engine are all the same, graphics are presumably better for PC and the game is capped at 60 fps for PC (consoles are capped to 30). You could always try the demo for a test run.

Cancelled my order for this after Tescons couldn't say when they would be able to dispatch despite having 6 weeks to stock up. Not gonna bother ever buying any game outside of Steam, and reading all this about having to install origin and 3gig updates I'm glad I've cancelled, might consider buying PES 2012 instead especially as it seems cheaper and better, or just find a way of acquiring it which will be so much less hassle:rolleyes:

Who the hell are tescons? why not just preorder from somewhere known to always get it to you early like everyone else?

ShopTo for example, the games always arrive the day before the official release date, and most people seem to know that.

I didn't know any places that get it in early, first time i've ever pre-ordered something and I went with that supermarket because they are such a big company I thought they would be able at least have enough stock and get the goods dispatched on time :(, plus I got a nice discount through a voucher which is why I went with them. Never again. Ruined my weekend, but might be a blessing in disguise as I didn't exactly enjoy the demo.

At least the weathers good this weekend, just think, you'll be enjoying the weather while the rest of us geek out
 
Heh, good point actually how could I forgot the sun! A trip to the park for some 5 a side football me thinks :D followed by a sore ankle :(

wtf so when im playing gmaes on ps3 many are capped at 30fps?

I never notice them play bad, Like fifa 11 was 30fps?
 
Can anyone help, I can't seem to move the player in the arena. My controller is fine and it works for everything else, just my pro wont move in the arena.

Have you tried changing which player is used in the arena and then seeing if the newly selected player will move?
