Official FIFA 22 Thread

Guys, I just realised I still have my 4,600 points from the pre-order! I'm only playing FUT this year. What pack release should I wait for before I use them? Or do you think I should spread them over a few upcoming ones? (These will be my only points, I don't p2p)

Official done with this crap now. Played 4 lost 4 every game sit back and constant through balls over the top with a team full of icons. Has there been a mass give away of pele's, eusebio and gullit's I've missed?

Everyone just Nick's the goal then you can literally sit with the ball 3/4 of the way in there half and there's not a player near you.

Same with the rat corner, nick a goal then kill the game. Boring, thinking of getting the laptop out while playing games just to watch something decent.
 
Promoted to division 2 and so far played 6 won 3 and drawn 3. Hopefully won't be long until div 1.


I've barely touched champs this year. Can't be bothered with the pressure. I play better when ultimately it doesn't matter. Shame about rivals rewards being crap but looking at recent TOTW there is hardly an incentive and decent players can be had from SBC's with fodder being cheap

Champs has never been as chilled to be honest 8 wins is an elite pack and easy to obtain. I usually get 12 wins and give the remainder away.

Aside from the RNG shooting predominantly inside the box with the super human keepers and blocks I’m enjoying the gameplay a lot this year. That being said I did prefer the old style champs (albeit prefer 20 matches)

6 wins = no totw pack + rare players pack +jumbo rate players +10k
8 wins = nothing
9 wins = untradable totw pack + rare players pack+jumbo rare players +25k
11 wins = tradable one + + rare players pack+ultimate pack+40k

It's makes no difference to me as I'm get to have 1 good red pick or 1 good player in the totw pack.
 
I hate the WL qualification system. The quality of opponents varies wildly, so you can end up against a lot of very good players with stacked teams. Not sure how matchmaking works, exactly...

WL itself in comparison is really easy (until this point anyway).

I find the game itself very frustrating, it's difficult to identify anything I'm doing right/wrong. It's just such a mixed bag. No matter what tactics I try, it doesn't seem to matter. It's just random.
 
They should've just changed it so you're rewarded based on the number of wins you get from 1-20.

You wouldn't need to change much, just a few more coins and an extra pack or two after each win. The player picks could just be 1 player for 1 win up to 20 for 20 wins. Still gives EA plenty of scope to screw the best players out of the top 2 or 3 cards a week but gives everyone an incentive to keep playing.
 
EA have announced they've also change the qualification from 24 points from 9 games to 20 from 10, 4 wins instead of 5.

That should encourage more people to play, more people to qualify so it might become easier to gain a higher rank in the WL.

Doubt they would've done this unless they've seen a massive drop in the people playing.

Although, had something changed? Since WL I can't win a single rivals match. My mbappe can't hit a barn door, he looks like he's running in slow motion, I can be 5 yards clear and defenders are still catching me.

Plus no matter what I change my defense constantly want to be high, and quite often just 1 defender will follow their striker all the way back to my box for no reason.
