Official FIFA 23 Thread

I think FIFA is now officially dead in the OCUK community :D

I need to chat with individuals like me who are gluttons for punishment and can't live without a football game to play each year, the EA forums are toxic, reddit to busy, any other boards or the like that you can talk about this goal without just trawling through the usual noise that we all know and exists?

I'm here Andy! How the **** does this chemistry system work? @Quinnaay you are still playing right ?

Console specific section of EA forums isn't too bad.

I've been playing quite a bit and it's OK. The gameplay engine is going to cause a lot of RNG though, 50/50's are unpredictable. And it's way too easy to score!

The new chemistry system makes it harder to build teams IMO, I understand it but it's still confusing :p

Can you explain to me then please Robbo :p

I assume they still don't punish those who rage quit, mainly at 0-0? Still so many quitting early on, its annoying when my team is made up of loans!

Ok well, think of it the same as before, but it doesn't matter what position the players are in. So a goalkeeper can link to a striker, for example.

It's also worth noting that each player has multiple positions, so some strikers can play left wing, etc. This is a good change, meaning we don't have people starting strikers at CDM, which was always a bit odd.

Outside of that, read this: https://www.futbin.com/news/articles/644/fifa-23-new-chemistry-system-explained

I found the same. Annoying!

Feels pretty damn similar to me, give it a couple of weeks of card power progression/upgrades and it will be much the same unrealistic dribble fest as last year. :)

Why on earth have they kept the UX. It's literally the worst UX I've ever used in my life... again. You have to press about 10 buttons to claim a bloody TIFO objective, it's painful. Really hoped they'd overhaul the whole milestone/objective claiming system.

Otherwise, I'm enjoying the game, but it's very different. Much slower, rewards passing and build up; you can't just run anymore. It feels like scoring goals is easier (as in, goalkeepers are a bit more realistic) but getting into a shooting position is harder. Had quite a bit of success of balls into the box and headers which again is realistic but was much harder in 22.

Just redeem them on the app? 2 clicks and you are done.

My pack luck over the last few days has been the best I've ever known it. I've packed lewa, de Jong, koulibaly, zakaria, gomez, a few other decent players and then in my div 7 rewards I packed Messi!

If only EA knew you’d be selling them off on some dodgy site by Christmas :D
