Not going to try a serious run until the beta expires - I've come across a couple of little graphical bugs already although nothing major. I do like what I see so far, there are some really nice new features. Like when you are on the tatics screen and you want to see your player's best position you can do it all from the same screen. I think it will be these time saving features that will make the biggest difference to me.

One point of interest, I've got a 5 star computer and with 70,000 players and a large database it runs at 2 stars. I wonder if there are further optimizations to come because that doesn't seem particularly efficient to me.

I'm trying Rangers for the first time!

Damn this is GOOD. This is a first. I went to hire the services of a decent scout - and he turned me down after he had accepted my contract offer and went to Leeds instead. He refused offers from 4 other clubs too. So the back-room side of things has had a massive face lift.
 
Started a game 1st thing when Beta came out, started as Crewe, lost 2 star players straight away, Max clayton to Spurs and Harry Davis to some Scottish team...

Same here. Friends gave me GTA a few days ago and I'm hooked on that. Only 50% completed and I haven't touched online yet.

Totally un-impressed with what I saw. My excitement is like 1%.

Pass for me this year.
 
What do peeps think so far then? I've had one serious crash to desktop when I switched back to windows, but none since. There is a laggy bug when you click on tactical advice/advice buttons generally. But the match engine is improved - graphically its much nicer now in my opinion too. Not sure on the messages/inbox layout - but maybe this is still a work in progress. There seems to be a lack of colour on the screen. It's very white, although it is clearer than 2013 for sure.

One thing I am seeing a lot of in game is knocks to players. Rather frustrating at the mo. I probably suffer 2 or 3 per match and any one of these can result in longer term injuries due to the way it works. So I'm hoping this will be looked at. Might try and report it.
 
Stupid question alert: What's the difference between the Beta and the real thing?

I'm downloading whatever I'm able to on Steam (doesn;t say anywhere that it's the Beta) but just curious what the difference is.

This game has the potential to ruin my career. Can't wait!
 
Usually the Beta saves move over to the 'real' game :).

This may be the downfall of my degree, along with GTA V & Pokemon :(.
 
Sweet. The Brentford team is so good. Thankfully they've based all of this on our performance last year... not the rubbish we've been serving up this season! :p

Anyone looking for a good young CM, look at Adam Forshaw. Coaches indicate he'll become a good EPL midfielder!
