******* Official Football Manager 2015 Thread *******

Hi guys,

I've saved a logo pack in the correct folder (users - documents - SI - graphics) but it is still not showing in my save.

I've tried closing down fm and re-loading but still nothing - do you know why this could be?

Thought I would post an update on my career so far and a request for help at the same time! :)

I am managing Nottingham Forest, and its been a fairly rocky time. I have signed some good players (Erwin Hoffer, Striker from the Bundesliga I think it was, Dedryck Boyata, defender from Man City and a few others) Ended up selling Kelvin Wilson when Swansea came in for him and a couple of others that were never going to get into my squad.

But, I haven't really got going, I am not in mid December, drawn a few, won a few, lost a lot. I can't seem to find any good tactics that seem to work, I have played 3 formations so far, standard 4-4-2, 4-3-3 narrow and 5-2-3 narrow, the latter two recommended by my assistant manager. I seem to have no real issues scoring, 2 of my stickers have 10 goals a piece so far but I still end up getting beaten. Early November saw me get an ultimatum from the board after my poor form, setting me a target of 9 points from the next 5 matches. From those 5 matches I won the first three (go figure) and lost the last two. Squad harmony is terrible, lots of players moaning about not getting in the team and wanting to leave.

Bit stumped on the tactics side of things as you can probably tell so does anyone have any advice?

Yeah it's quite difficult. I'm using a fairly standard 4-4-2. Bottom line you need to use a formation that best suits your players but the tactics you can swap around a bit. I am using a slow defensive 4-4-2 with attacking wing backs and wingers. I make sure my central defenders stay back and my two wingers are free to zip up and down the flanks. My central midfielders are probably my best players so I make sure I am focussed on a narrow vision. So far so good.

I have been considering going back to 4-4-2, I definitely have the players to play that formation, and would actually maybe give me a few more options than what I am doing now. Whatever I do I need to improve in a hurry or I will be sacked!
 
So apparently I got the full game for free...

I ordered the game on amazon then cancelled it so I could get into the beta and now my beta is the full game. :o
 
Urgh not having much fun in League 1 no matter what I do I can't find any form I don't think I've ever had such inconsistency in all my hours of FM. Finances are negative projected despite a load of wage budget left because the half decent players won't join, got Man utd as parent club but they don't want to loan any players. I even had a home draw against premier league Hull and the stadium was half empty, less people than league games whats with that?!

Yeah I had similar issues as Ayr in the Scottish champs. Had a nice wage budget but players didn't want to join and I couldn't even get a parent club. All I can say is it does improve but it takes ages. I'm now in 2022 and I'm only just starting to get some decent players and am competitive. Currently 4th in the Scottish Premiership. But the biggest issue I found was the negative projection. Even with a significant injection of cash I was still £2.1million in debt. This caused me all sorts of problems. It wasn't until I hit my first top tier season that I was able to counteract it slightly with over a million in prize money, even though I got relegated. It seems to be a lot slower than 14 for some reason. Not sure if it is intended.

What I would say - are you a tracksuit manager or a tactical one? I think this has a significant impact. I am beginning to gain a lot of reputation but it takes top tier leagues to make the movement.
 
Started as Man Utd - after having a really good start and murdering teams with my beastly attack (a midfield/attack of: RVP - Falcao - Rooney, Mata, Di Maria and Blind is beastly when they click) I'm on a huge losing streak - no idea how to stop it :/
 
For some reason the mega pack isn't working for me since the game went live. I've cleared cache and reloaded skin but for whatever reason it isn't displaying any players below the premier league. I'm Portsmouth at the moment.

I've recently installed version 7.0 from sortitoutsi having previously used 6.0. The players are in the 7.0 folder but won't display in game.

Any ideas?
 
Is anyone doing any good challenges? The alphabet seems like too much (even considering I need to focus on school) and I already did the pentagon challenge.

Is there like a website that has a number of challenges? Not sure if I want to go big club revival, bring a low league team to glory, or work my way up from the lowest level possible. I feel like I did everything already :p

In FM15? It's a lot harder than previous years that's for sure! In FM14 I could almost guarantee back to back promotion but this time around it's a bloody challenge in itself let alone doing it in every country. Provided you use the recommended starting coaching level of course
