for the people that used the vpn trick, have any of you gone back into "online mode" yet?

I've popped on and off of the VPN / offline mode since doing it.

If you reconnect to Steam without the VPN, the game just goes back to "Pre-load" status.

If you then reconnect to a VPN it becomes playable again, though you don't have to unlock it again.

Has anyone's game activated yet by being online normally? I used the VPN trick, and now that my Steam is back online, it's still not activated. The store page says that the game is now released (no unlocks in so many days).

not really :p

just being pedatic.

Aside from few bug fixes, this game really needs another AI setting above legendary. Legendary sounds great but it's really a joke. I was over a second per lap faster than anyone else on my last race and again, I'm still driving a Lotus. Opponents are much faster than me on straights and when accelerating but one tricky section and I can pass five cars in three corners. From what I've read the legendary is rather good opponent for gamepad players but for us wheel users with experience, it's a joke. Yes, every aid is turned off etc.

Still a great game. Shame about the AI.

Oh No..! just loaded up and my save game is currupt..:eek:

I had to create a new profile.. Luckily being appaling at the game i havent lost much..

Im now able to get a constant 60fps with vsync on, everything silky smooth with ultra detail, at last!

Took out my second 5850 that i bought last week, seems my board is not up to the job off crossfire (or my psu).

Happy bunny.
