Ladies and gents....ITS UP AND RUNNING!!!! FINALLY!!! GO GO GO...

I cant seem to be added either...GFWL tag AMR33K

Can somebody add me.

thanks

Done.

Open the spreadsheet. Click the "names" page (At the bottom) Fill your details in. Click File>Save. The spreadsheet will then but you in where you've chosen to go/race.

I have just got an extra 10fps :)

I edited the hardware_settings_config.xml and made these changes
postprocess enabled="false" blur="false"
dynamic_ambient_occ enabled="false" /

Then I went into NV control panel and changed Texture Filtering Quality to High Quality.
And the FPS has gone from 33fps to 44+fps

My GPU usage in a race was at 62% now the GPU Usage is 77%..so I am getting there.

So do ATI users need to force settings in Catalyst for best visuals?

no they just need to have the settings set in the drivers for the best Image Quality.

its like saying so nvidia users need to set texture preffence from max performance > highest quality for the best visual?

turning of amient occlusion and post process effects doesnt make it look uglier?

I can't see any diff tbh. I am still messing with things but I hope to get the GPU usage to 88%(some how).

EDIT= I forgot that is with Ultra settings with shadows low and skid marks off.

I've got the retail version installed and I'm about the start my career. So that I don't suffer from the corrupt save game, can anyone tell me where the files are located so that I can back them up. I've looked in c:\users\****\AppData\Local\ and can't see a F1 2010 or Codemasters folders, and it's not in My Games either.

Should be in my documents/my game/formulaone I think.

Add yourself>>>****The OcUK Steam Names List****<<<Add yourself

Having gone through a bit of a trial period (during which everything seemed to work quite smoothly) I can now finally present the (mostly) working Steam Names List wherein you will find a list of people who use the steam platform for online gaming and (eventually) the games which they play.

For the moment the games which people can associate their name with are:

Left 4 Dead
Left 4 Dead 2
Team Fortress 2
Counter Strike: Source
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 (Now with added Bad Company 2 name column)
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Call of Duty: World at War
Borderlands
Killing Floor
Worms Reloaded

Of course, there can be more games added over time, just mention which ones you feel are appropriate and I'll update the list.

There are some basic instructions after the jump but nothing too complicated. Let me know if you have any problems and I'll try and fix them as soon as I can.

Once you've added yourself be sure to add a few people from the list to your own friends list :)

This list is merely an amendment to others work so thanks is due to FrenchTart (the poster formerly known as Aekeron) and Z0mb1e for laying the groundwork.

I hope you'll find this useful,
Antar.

Add yourself>>>!!!SHINEY NEW GFWL OcUK LIST!!!<<<Add yourself

Whether it will be useful or not now is another matter but it only took a few minutes to knock up and can't do any harm.

Games currently on the list:

Bioshock 2
Dawn of War 2
Grand Theft Auto IV
Dirt 2
F1 2010

I've moved Dirt 2 onto the GFWL list as it really belongs there instead but don't fear, if you've added your name to the other list I've amended your details to the GFWL list.

Any other games which you feel need adding to the list just give me a shout and I'll sort it out.

Note: I've noticed a few issues opening up the googledocs in Opera since the latest Opera update but they work perfectly fine in IE8, Firefox and Chrome.

Got this installed and running today and am playing through a season and trying to find the right difficulty balance.

Runs quite well, I do get slow down but considering my gpu registers around 60% load I suspect my aging processor is holding me back.

Why is the game jerky full screen but if I go into windows mode (but maximise the window) its silky smooth ?? Anyone had this?

Also anyway to use auto gears?
