Proper FOV corrections (for both single-triple monitor set-ups (with a great video too)
Most players should use a FOV of about 23o for the most realism, the problem is that then you can't even see the front tyres (unless using multi-monitors). So I find that 50o is the best compromise. (The higher fov of the game makes us perceive speed and depth incorrectly - things are too far away and too fast. But it also means we don't get enough feeling of sped/bumpiness - we do with the smaller FOV)
This si why multiple monitors can be important for realistic views/speed. To calculate the most realistic FOV, use trig/Pythagoras and if you need help Google.
Camera mods
For those who agree the cockpit view is rubbish. (in the wrong place), use this bad boy. (also has a tv-cam style T-cam).
Hopefully someone will mod these physics soon so the game doesn't have such terrible handling/physics. (and the DIRE ffb )
its running in dx 10,
and actualy im able to run alien vs pred in dx11 it just done load the tesilation.
so yoru have to now retract what you said
so does the game actually support dx11 as it is now ?
Just been doing a bit of research and I found this:
http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/ATICatalyst109Hotfix.aspx
ATI 10.9a drivers which seemingly have solved the problems with getting much better frames in windowed mode....not tried it though.
Anyone help me on the location i have to overwrite the cameras.XML file pls
Im not lying mate
