Wonder what ever happened to Geoff Crammond, I imagine with the tech available to him today he could make a quite phenomenal GP5.

Anyone remember this from 1992 ? Hehe, 18 years ago, still remember GP1 so well :)

You want to look at GCs GP4 with the 2010 mods ;)
 
Can try this to see if it works.

25# Save File Corruption Fix
1. Copy the corrupt My Games\F1 2010 folder to a safe place.
2. Start the game and created a new profile, overwriting the corrupt one.
3. Quit the game and create a backup of the new, clean My Games\F1 2010 folder.
4. Copy all my original files and folders back to the newly created My Games\F1 2010 folder. Run the game, which didn’t complain about any corruption. So far so good, but the game is still at the beginning.
5. Copy half of the files from your Autosave0 folder to My Games\F1 2010. Run the game to check for corruption. If everything is OK, copy in half of the remaining files and so on. If there were problems, restore the clean data files created at step 3. The idea is just to go through a process of elimination to find the bad file.

Now if you somehow find the corrupted file, see if you can replace it, and see deleting it has what impact on the game. If your saved data is un-effected by deleting than go ahead and delete it. Once your corrupted saved files are restored, save the game after playing a race so that you can create a new fresh save file.
This workaround was used for the same issue with Dirt 2 so theory applies.

4 years 6 mth old graphics card and it plays great constant 60 fps on 1680x1050 maxed out.
No need to ugrade my graphics card unless i want dx11

Thats not running it. 17fps on straights and dipping into the low teens when you hit some gravel or make a sharp turn is not "running" a racing game.

You're not running at a constant 60fps at 1680x1050 maxed out either.

You're not fooling anyone.

To much effort. I think I will start a new career ... this time for only 5 years because at the rate I was going around the tracks at 30% distance I would be 34 years old by the time I finished my 7 year career :p

Thanks for the help though, hopefully someone else will get there save game back.
 
Well Im rubbish at the game.....I have had to put all assists on apart from break assist and AI on easy and I'm still rubbish.......still love the game and feel visuals are fine......

along with the whole of the ati drivers team the people who made this game want sacking for delivering such utter half harted poor performing *****
surely to god they knew of all the bugs n glitches, if a patch ismt out by this time next week i will be uninstalling this and shelving it
I cant believe how disapointed i am
 
well well well. After my save corruption I thought I would try something different in game, so I tried using the T-cam instead of cockpit view ... wow what a difference in my driving, I can clip all/most apexs in Sakhir and in general get a better and smoother lap. I suggest others to give this view a try and see what happens to your driving :D

I love this game so much. :)

Strange game is strange..

11 laps into a 17 lap race. On the option tyre, it starts raining.. grip seems normal but I press my pit request button as I want some intermediate tyres.

I go in the pits.. and they stick the normal slick tyres to my car then release me? :mad:

4 laps later, everyone else pits and I slide off at the last corner as it's too wet now. That's not even funny :(
