I've said before, dial up the aero downforce for Monaco and just practice until you're 'in the zone'. Then you can start going fast.

Good to hear you're getting decent performance on your 5870, I'm still having the stuttering framerate and audio skipping/crackling problem.

Well punctures are completely random. Got a puncture, came into the pits for brand new tyres, drove out. of the pits, the limiter went off and got another puncture.

I have got sick of this aswell but since i got last puncture in a race right after my pitstop i but flashback but i only use it if i get a stupid puncture or a penalty for "hitting" another car, i have took fuel simulation off after i got sick off getting my ass whooped in the race after putting the car on pole with fuel simulation turned on.

If people are struggling with Monaco try this for a little help, first go to the engineer and but the set for uber low downforce on then go into the setup and change these things for a good set.

Brakes - medium
Suspension - put ride height on 3/3
Engine - fast
downforce - 11 front 10 rear

that worked for me, got pole with a 1.16.7 and race times was 1.17s/18s

EDIT: this tip is for people in career mode only.

I dial up the downforce to 9 and nothing else and was getting race times in the 1:13 - 1:14 mark with a few little mistakes per lap. No fuel or tyre simulation and option tyre.

Oh, sorry, I also changed the brake balance to 54% front. That helped too.

Is there a way to turn the Ghost car off in time trial? It distracts me from my concetration, I find that I concentrate more on the ghost car in front than the corner! I just can't help it! It ruins my laps! I desperately want to turn it off!

bah I'm done with this game till a patch comes out

keep on getting a puncture along the main straight just after going past the pits area halfway through the race at sakhir

But but, the ghost car shouldn't be in front, you should be going faster every lap :D

I have no clue btw, just being helpful.

Catalunya is ****** ridiculous. I qualified 13th which is respectable in the lotus. Then in the race all the cars are even faster (even with fuel sim off) and start putting in laps like a second faster than in qualifying....

***** me off big time.

They seem to be able to take some corners flat out that you simply cannot do in a lotus with tyre simulation on.

DOes everyone else have to lift at those long sweeping corners? My lotus just can't cut it! Even Trulli can take them flat out and he is my teammate!.....

I think we need a car setup thread so that those in the know can help the lazt gits like me and you.

I'm not lazy ive been tweaking my car setup loads but no matter what i do it makes no difference. I can't take those sweeping corners without lifting.

I did a 1.24 dead in qualyfying ( on options) but my more consistent times are between the 1.25-1.26 range. The AI ( even the slower teams) seem to be doing consistent 1.20 -1.24's :(

On primes, a time less than 1.24 seems impossible in the lotus in career mode.

I think I'm going to have to try this track out and see what all the fuss is about.

just finished a race at Spa in career mode, what a carry on race began with 31% rain chance it started dry but the second lap it started to rain lightly any way it was wet quali so i didnt start on the tyre i used in quali. started on the option and i knew it wa going to get wet so i thought stay out abit and put inters on, i got to about lap 6 of 9 and decided to pit but when i pitted they put somemore option's on. id even used the incar quick menu to select inters but that didnt seam to make any difference at all. surely you must be able to decide what you want. i managed to win btw dispite having to tip toe round
