It appears to be a fact! Just confirmed through two posts on the codemasters forums.

When I loaded up the game this morning it made me download something for GFWL to enable the log in. The once I'd done that it said to save and exit the game.. then an F1 installer opened up and .. well installed stuff :p

Off to test now :D

Oh and Marky, load up the game. It downloads through Games For Windows Live, not steam at a guess.

Ahhh I see :) I'm at work at the mo so will update later :)

Any patch notes?
 
Ooh theres a benchmark test now!

EDIT: First bench by some dood on the CM forum : Pc version now has the benchmark test, 1080p everything set to ultra, dx11, msaax8.. 67fps
 
Ok, guys ... Get testing ! :) I'm far to busy this morning to do it myself hahaha DX11 vs DX9 screenshots in here NAOW! :D
 
It's to do with the tyres Cavallino. The prime tyre now has the green ring around it instead of the option.

(i may have this mixed up, cant test atm :D)

Ok, first impressions after a 20% race at silverstone ... GOOD !.

Split times are great. work really well and as far as I can tell very accurate.
Everyone pitted as far as I could tell.
Lollipop man is faster on release, before if a car was going past he would release you quite far behind it but now you come out on the cars gearbox ready to overtake on the first corner. It just feels faster overall. the pits are now a flurry of action instead of you sitting there saying goodbye to your lead.
Tyres are the correct skin for me.

I pitted from 3rd came out in 11th was back up to 4th on the next lap (others pitted) because the leader pitted after me but I wasn't fast enough to catch him in the pits, I seen him come out in the distance. 1st-2nd were back markers on hard tyres who pitted later in the race allowing me to take 2nd then finally overtaking webber for the win.

Really pleased with it so far, especially the split time. they make it way more interesting.

*This is my observations based on one 20% race*
 
My tyres are fine btw. Oh and I have mods for lighting, cars and tyres ... they all work after the patch, maybe that's why my tyres are ok lol
