my wet weather doesnt work either, no drying racing line, no puddles nothing.

also it seems that the AI has got faster since i came last in the 2 test races i just did. Normally id be on the podium...

... or maybe im having a bad day?

I don't have the prime/option tyre bug though.

Yeah they changed how the AI takes some of the corners to speed them up a bit. In the wet did you notice how much spray was being kicked up ? Seems like a ton more to me :) and the cars now show spray during a replay too.

So the only way to get this patch is to log into Windows Live? wow feel sorry for the ones in other parts of the world where Live doesn't work etc..

It has happened. some can't login to GFWL so how they meant to patch this? Its all so laughable really...

what happened to the days when a patch was released and you downloaded it? Don't get me wrong, automation is cool but not when its THE only option.. lol

Anyhow, might fire up the PC version and take a look... Been playing the PS3 version more.. Only as a few mates were playing the PS3 version, which is Ok I guess but the PC graphics and mods are so much better...

This really annoys you for some reason, it isn't an issue. We've discussed this before, all they have to do it sign up saying they are in a country that works, and if they didn't know that, they should have.

They are releasing a stand-alone patch anyway, not an issue.

Can you save out a replay now? if so what format is it saved in.
I will wait to undate untill more have tested it...

umm didn't seen an option for that but then again I wasn't looking for one. Will have a quick look now.

Edit: couldn't see any options to save the replay. However I did find out that xbox controller users can now change the deadzone and saturation etc in advanced wheel options :D:D

To be fair I jumped the gun and I didn't know they were releasing the patch standalone. so what I wrote doesn't really apply anymore.

Can't remember complaining about GFWL game patching before, but if I have you seemed to have remembered it - so I might have.. Honestly can't remember, I rant on about so much stuff at times, I forget.. !!

Anyhow, no offense is meant by it... Doesn't really bother me that much, but if the game patch wrecks more then it fixes, then I'd like more control and be able to install the patch manually, not all patches fix stuff. sometimes they wreck more then they fix...!!

Anyhow, didn't mean any harm. just saying.

I may very well have got the wrong person, I've had this discussion with somebody and your name rang a bell, I probably am totally wrong though.

lol might have been... My username on here isn't one you'd confuse too easily. I remember complaining about GFWL and its offline and online mode not sync'ing game saves.. I think it was when I lost my Batman Arkham game saves as I linked my 360 account to my GFWL account and it lost my batman saves.. To say, I wasn't best pleased..!1 :p

Can't honestly remember moaning about GFWL patching, maybe I did. Can't remember.

Shake hands and forget about it? ;)

Right then,

As some of you might have realised the patch is now out via GFWL on PC and the game should automatically update when you boot it up. We'll be putting out a standalone version of the PC patch soon.

Full patch notes for all platforms are also in the works and will go up soon.

@ rotter023 I'm now getting a solid lock-up mainly after races on the loading screen. Had a quick lunch break test of the new patch. Standard 60 minute break resulted in about 10 hard lockups of the game. Most of them on loading screens.

Pre Patch I hadn't had a single lock-up or CTD I was on my 3rd season resulting in about 40 hours of game play. No hardware changes other than the patch this morning have taken place:(

i think i found my problem with wet weather. It seems im now running in DX10 mode hence things dont look right.

forcing Dx9 should work?

That is a very important one, means that X360 controllers can now setup deadzones, that was a massive problem.

I forced DX9 and there is still no water on the track. The weird thing is the water is there when I am waiting on the lights but it "dries up" before the lights go out. very strange.

The patch seems to have given me a massive improvement with my fps. My benchmark results are:

samples="8361" min_fps="51.903217" av_fps="66.871201"

...It didn't tell me my maximum fps, but I saw it hit 72 at one stage.

Before with 24 cars on-screen, I'd be getting about 45fps on average and a minimum of about 40fps. I also checked in career mode to make sure these results were indicative of actual performance, and I'm getting more or less the same improvement.

Just had a 20% race around Interlagos in heavy rain.

Defiantly quite a few noticeable changes, before the cars was as if they were on rails. In the 20% race I witnessed the following:

- Schumacher getting too aggressive with his team-mate Rosberg, he ended up spinning out.

- Button was leading the race 2 car infront of me, he ran wide and ended up loosing a few places.

- As I was going around the track I noticed a lot more skid marks than usual including one big one starting half way around the track and going into the pits, obviously someone picked up a puncture. The AI is clearly making more mistakes.

Overall the AI seems much better.

Few other things:

- The wet patches on the track has gone, not sure why.

- Car handling defiantly changed in the wet.

Has anyone noticed that when they put new tires on it takes ages for the rear end of the car to come down?

I can't find the option to save out replays and the wet track is not wet!

Yeah i've notices these as well, really thick black lines on some of the corners. Almost like someone has locked up or accelerated too hard out of a corner. Really nice touches, I think everyone suffers from not having a wet track in wet conditions.
