I would recommend changing from Rapture, many people, including me have a lot of sound lag using rapture, give it a try on software/hardware and see if you notice a difference.

With the new patch? I was using software before the patch and experienced the problems you describe, seems fine after though.

Hmm, haven't had any crashes but when time trialling I noticed that the osd randomly disappeared... I restarted from the menu and it reappeared, then it disappeared randomly again. Anyone else noticed this?

downloaded the patch finally, load times are much improved. Better control of controllers, pit issues seems to be mostly fixed and I did see standing water on the track..

I whacked the graphics up to ultra everything... Ran a 20% race at Canada in extreme wet conditions... All cars pitted and I pitted with loads of cars. I wasn't held too long, in fact I won the race due to a great pit stop.

Graphics are better, IA is better, they brake later and hence you don't drive into them as you brake later then what they used to.

AI don't seem to weave about in the braking lines as much now either, didn't get the tire bug, had the correct tires..

So far so good IMO.

I am using MLAA in the ATI control panel BTW. MSAA in game is no different so turned off in game AA and used CCC MLAA as it looks just as good and I got max 60fps v sync using this.. 1920 x 1080 DX11 ultra. Looks nice.

bah lol no sooner had I said wet racing was fine, anyone notice lack of rain drops on the visor and at Monaco the puddles on the track were there and then half way around a lap they went.. No dry line appeared.

Yeah, wet driving is broken. Codemasters have fixed the pit bug and now broken the weather.. lol

When are we all getting paid for beta testing their latest game? lol still I'm happy I can now pit and not get too held up.. So thats one problem fixed..

And I'm quite happy with the new OSD split timings..

I'm playing the patched PC version but I do seem to have puddles, in fact I was thinking to myself playing it last night that it looks much much better on the DX11 (Ultra) settings and seems to run better than it did before the patch, but definitely have puddles, will see if I can get some screenies later.

Well I installed the patch and ran the benchmark:

Maxed out with 8x QCSAA and I get an average FPS of 48, 45 minimum. Does that seem low for a GTX470?

Can anyone help me with this please? I thought I'd get closer to 60 FPS with my rig. I'm using the latest drivers from Nvidia.

Do I need to Overclock my CPU/GPU to achieve this ?

Thanks
