I've been hit by the dreaded SecuLauncher error on Steam since patching yesterday. Last time I tried to play this was 27th Sept I noticed but at least it worked then!

Going round in circles trying to fix it with various suggestions on the web. I see that GTA and Bioshock had this problem for some users in the past. Currently re-downloading F1 but that's more in hope than expectation as the files validated ok on Steam.

Don't feel too inclined to try another full price game on Steam with GFWL linked into the process.

Well the pit bug seems to have been kind of fixed. One race I was in the pits for 4.5s, next race I'm held for 8. Not as bad as before but it's still looking to hold you if there's a car in the pit box behind you.

you need to disable DX10/11 in the config files (my docs/mygames/f12010)

are you suggesting that we need to revert to DX9 to keep puddles???:p Why don't puddles show up in DX11?

edit, just tried the patch, no puddles here either on the track but clearly visible in the pits and run-off areas. Also getting around 45fps at 1920x1080 all ultra. That sound about right?

Didn't mean to worry you by the way, I'm sure the card will be fine.

Ran the Unigine benchmark for about 30 minutes to get my card nice and hot. Everything looked good during it, there was nothing which looked unusual so I think my card is ok. It's just the game being pants.

I tried forcing DX9 to see if that would bring back my puddles but it didn't work :( if anyone finds a concrete solution remember to post it here :)

OK, tried the patch, performance is great. Get 60FPS average, 50 lowest on the the benchmark at 1080p with 8xAF and 4xAA on the spec in sig.

However, no standing water on the tracks in wet, tyres do appear the be the right way round though. The car looks really weird in the garage now, almost with a glowing outline parts?! The bloom seems way too high, I can't read the bit where it says 'Race' as you enter that session at all.

Same for me, and yea think I need sunglasses for the bloom effects.
