Though presumably nobody would be moaning if it was us on the tuesday and the US on the friday :) So is the complaint that many are having that there are different release days, or merely that its not us first :D

Indeed, so its not actually the principal of staggered release dates that many are against, its simply that, for some reason, they dont want to be anything other than first to get something. Human nature maybe, I'm no scientist so I couldnt say :)

Dont get me wrong, its something I've experienced many a time. Try being around one of my kids when you've bought them a chocolate bar and told them they cant have it til later, oooh how they will stamp their feet and tantrum that they want it NOW ! Most taxing at times.

tbh the days of staggered release really need to be buried, in an age of world wide communication things should be made available at the same time, some legit uk purchasers will now likely download the leaked version just to start playing at the same time as everyone else

not to mention by the time we all get online all those wanabe US racers...and various exploiters, will have flooded the timing records/leveled up etc

Oh I agree, things should be all available at the same times these days. Having said that, just because I have to wait for a couple of days its not going to make me go and download it (I'll leave it up to the reader to ascertain why I wouldnt and someone else would).

Not really fussed about timing records or level ups, I play for fun not achievement, but I can see that to some people it would be tantamount to blasphemy.

And at the risk of being accused of bumming the moderators, I feel I should point out that the company that almost everybody is naming these days (who shipped today and who's games normally arrive next day, usually the cheapest too) are actually a competitor.
 
so they have no f1 driver, we have 2 current f1 world champions, we develop the game, but the yanks get it first
if that isnt an up yours to us all i dont know what is

Could be worse, you could be living in Lithuania and it will be next year before you see a copy to buy and even then it will cost you 6 months wages :D

There are advantages of course to not being first to get releases, means that when the release is all bugged to hell , we get the version with the patches and less of the buggy hassle.
 
probably a bit dodgy saying this but those who tried the US VPN trick....try again

in game, unlocked, key accepted, live signed in, all seems to be good so far
