the career mode has qualifying right?

I really hate racing games that automatically put you somewhere in the field
 
Yes you HAVE to practice AND qualify, you cant skip only accelerate which then means if you dont put in a time you are relegated to the back of the grid.
 
I'm skint due to watercooling my PC....which isn't even done yet lol.

Can't wait till I get a go on this though, has anyone tried a Logitech Momo with this game?
 
Becasue this is F1, a huge franchise, people expect a lot. This was developed in a short period for multiuple platforms on an existing engine, it's not going to be perfect. I can't see this looking worse than a messy mod for any other game engine like rFactcor and performance issues are probably driver based which haven't caught up with the new release which is common.

Theres a guide a page or 2 back. Any US worked for decrypting, but I then got a 'failed to connect to key server' error which I fixed by closing steam, changing the vpn to US-New York option and then restarting Steam and running. Will turn off VSync tonight and see what happens, hopefully like Grid and Dirt someone will make a mod to remove the yellowyness :p
 
me crashed on race 3 just after i leave the pits to go to the race start , reloaded game exact same thing...

hope my save isnt borked

[EDIT] FFS! seems everyone with a 6core CPU is getting the same thing... only solution is to set msconfig to only boot windows with 4 cores or to run dx11 mode :S which is buggy anyway

No performance issues here (rig in sig :>)

I didn't take too kindly to being warned about causing a collision when someone hit me from behind though. I was going at full pelt in my little Lotus on the racing line and some donkey tried to come up the inside where there was no room :mad:

One practice session at Bahrain and I'd improved immensely.....for my crap standards.

Also proud to say my first race (3 lap quick race) saw me, in last, wait for Hamilton to come around on the last lap so I could wipe him out. Ten seconds added to my time was worth it. Ended up running Schumacher off the road too..oops!
 
in the games config what workermap does it give you guys by default?

it was giving me the single corp workermap, maybe the game doesnt have a clue if you have a 6core cpu... someone said after they set windows to boot with only 4 cores they got much better performance aswell..

maybe thats why im only getting 50% gpu usage going to have to try deleting my games config and rebooting after i set msconfig to 4 cores :|
 
just confirmed the 6 core cpu bug

IF YOU HAVE A 6 CORE CPU THE GAME IS NOT CODED TO DETECT IT AND IT WILL ONLY USE A SINGLE CORE

START MSCONFIG AND IN ADVANCED BOOT OPTIONS SET CPU'S TO 4 IF YOU DONT YOU WILL EVENTUALLY ENCOUNTER A BUG WHERE THE GAME WILL CRASH TRYING TO LOAD A RACE AND YOUR GAME PERFORMANCE WILL OBVIOUSLY BE CRAP
 
Gah, I have a US IP, set my Steam download location to the US, and account locaiton to the US, and its still saying preload. Restarted Steam as well.
This is my third VPN now, first two either failed at network driver installation, or weren't actually free. Now I'm on Hotspot and its just not giving me the download D:
