just put steam into offline mode, it's been said about 20 times and it's a complete no-brainer.

Go to the community page then click Edit Profile at the right side of the page. Also, go into steam settings and change download location to a US server. Not sure if this matters, but its worth doing just incase.

I've done both of these and connected to US VPN but it still says pre load!
 
Just out of daftness.. i've put steam in a form of offline mode.. via the Available / Away / Offline part.

Then there's the other way by loading Steam whilst your network adapter is disabled.

Do both work the same way then?

I didn't need to change any settings in steam, all i had to do was connect to the us VPN and it worked straight away.
 
right, so let me get this right
ive VPN'd and activated the game, ive selected offline mode then restarted steam, ive then disconneced from the VPN. now everytime i load steam it will load in offline mode with the game activated ?

Everytime you start steam it should give you a box when you load it asking if you want to go online or stay in offline mode, just choose stay in offline mode and it should work without the vpn.

not mine. Back to pre loaded. I just cant get it to stay.
 
Can some of you people with both Nvidia and ATI cards run this DPC Latency checker and post a screenshot of what it reports while you are running F1 2010 also post whether you are getting good performance or bad performance, thanks.

Im one of many people that seem to be stuck at around 30fps no matter what settings we use.
