its not as nice looking as i thought it looked on the previews on the tube
maxxed out settings 1920 x 1200 lots and lots of fps !

what i dont understand is, ive restarted steam after playing and yes its still ready to play, but what did the VPN actually do, i know it tricked steam into thinking in the the u s of a, but im now disconnected from the VPN, does steam still think inm in the usa ?

Is it a wise idea to not sign in on Windows Live For Games until it has actually been released in the uk?

Also, does this actually ask for the cd key or is that not required?

Now your in offline mode steam doesn't connect to the steam servers, so it cant tell the servers your in the uk and set the game back to pre-load on your account.

I had this problem, going onto the GFWL website and downloading the latest client from there worked a treat.

And no, GJ02, once you're disconnected from the VPN steam thinks you're back in the UK, that's why you use offline mode.
 
After a whole lot of messing with drivers I've also lost the unlock for this, not long to go now so i'll just wait it out.

Hopefully I'll be able to sort out the performance then, because for a game by same devs in same engine, I can't see a reasonable excuse for why I get 150fps absolute minimum in Dirt 2 with max settings, yet F1 2010 stays solid at 23fps. Will give the 6 core fix a go first, but I still can't work out why they would solve the problem in their previous game then not have it fixed from the start in the next.

Argh!! This game is frustrating! But also fantastic :D

Was doing the first race (Bahrain) on medium and just kept spinning out. Was battling for 10th at one point then spun out and spun out again leaving me last. I then turned the ****er off :p

Think I need to put it on easy for now :(

Ohh and I have never driven around Bahrain before, I don't even know the track which didn't help. Give me Silverstone or Spa and i'll show em :p
 
I was driving around Monaco earlier as Alonso. Final turn of the race in fourth place and Hamilton tries to take me on the outside. Needless to say, I kept the racing line and he went straight into a wall. I was completely oblivious until the sound of a smash had me frantically pressing the replay button to see what the idiot had done. Needless to say, I laughed. Prat. As if you could ever even attempt to fit two cars through that corner at once without something going horribly wrong.
