I,m getting a pretty constant 55fps with an 955 @ 4ghz and a GTX 460...1920x1080, everything maxxed...

The Damn penalties are getting on my ****, Can you turn them off ??

Dirt 2 Ultra - 150fps minimum vs F1 2010 Ultra - 23fps solid. I actually found F1 2010 just about playable at 23fps, but when it's same devs/same engine, I find it difficult to ignore the fact that something isn't quite right there.

F1 engine is much more advanced than Dirt 2 I'd say

Anyway, I hate racing games where you can't slide cars around

I love being able to powerslide stuff in GRID, but F1 cars don't slide very well, I just end up spinning out

Assuming that to be correct, the level of disparity between the two still should not be quite so huge .

Anyone think the tyre model feels abit like rFactor?, there is no feel when the car is about to spin.. sometimes when i am on the limit in time trail and the car goes little sideways then the revs start to build up like is going to snap the rear out i always go to correct it but there is no oversteer at all.

Yep I know what you mean. For example when you go off the track onto gravel, the car kinda twitches 90 degrees :$

Also at low speed corners and hairpins especially, the car seems to like spinning out.

f1 cars aint rally cars.... they arnt ment to slide.

I had a quick bash on i found it hard to finsh a lap without spining or making a mistake but gonna stick with it. Really enjoying it so far Gonna stick with the expert setting though

I was a bit worried it wouldnt run on my rig but it runs fine but then again i'm on xp after reports of poor 260 gtx performance.

Its gonna take a lot of time and effort for me to master this game and manage to put in a full race without making any mistakes.But i get the feeling its possible even on a 360 pad.

Doesn't it ever, seems heavier at different parts of the track too, from the start and up Eau Rouge was fine, but down the back section I get the call on vent from my mate behind me: "Cant see ****!", great fun.

Flawless for me on 258.96 drivers btw, 99% GPU and 60+ fps on ultra.

Just doing qualifying in Spa and went slightly onto the big curb on the way up through Eau Rouge and the lap was voided, epic gay ness!

yea if you get to close to the inside of some of the corners at monaco you get the same thing even though theres an armcove barrier and its not possible to short cut...

some corners you can completly cut them and no penalty though a few of the chicane are really forgiving

I was driving around Monaco earlier as Alonso. Final turn of the race in fourth place and Hamilton tries to take me on the outside.

hamilton seems pretty agressive in the game like RL
here he is getting past me at the start in canada

Is anyone finding this hard with a wheel?

Maybe becuase my wheel is total turd but im finding it hard to plant the car in the right angle when braking.

Im about 5 seconds a lap quicker on a pad

Not at all. Doubt it would be even be possible without one on extreme difficulty. Even works like a charm with no deadzone.

It doesnt look anywhere near as good as Dirt 2 though, i think it looks more like Grid than Dirt 2.
