What is that app called that you have in the top left corner showing GPU usage?
msi afterburner, you dont need an msi card but i think it only works for nvidia cards
you can set it to show as much or as little info as you want or nothing at all

ive just got it showing FPS , GPU TEMP , GPU memory usage , GPU utilisation and core clock

F1 cars slide all over the place at low speeds... They need to be travelling quite quick to create downforce to stick to the track.. Does anyone watch F1.......:D:D

As MOOGLEYS said, F1 cars slide at low speeds when they have little downforce and traction. But normally an F1 car will be glued to the track. Sliding all the time just wears the tyres too quickly and will result in you pitting every few laps. Hamilton used to drive like this all the time and in quite a few races had to pit more than any other driver. It is even more important not to do this under the 2010 rules and without traction control - Button's smooth driving has worked wonders at times this season.

Edit: Didn't see this http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18188773 - looks like the rules have changed back.

im sure if setup right you could make them slide in medium speed corners i guess you just need the back end to be a bit loose, schumacher used to have the rear end step out a lot in his ferrari days

Did nobody watch A Senna :D

Oh and my mate says thks for the MSI tip. He has found out it only uses 62% GPU during the race :(

Probably best to watch it in 1080p here and full screen so the video won't seem as small :p (youtube is still decoding)

Here is demo of Eyefinity running with F1 2010. Works okay, there a few FOV issues but the performance is great with me only having to lower the AA down to 2x :D

That was my first time in the rain with a bout 6-7 laps practice (due to me hitting the wall constantly to invalidate laps -.-), managed a 1:20:037 but there is a lot more time to be had.

I think I'll be downloading this via Steam in a minute. I wasn't planning to, I was hoping there'd be a demo I could test out first but seeing as there isn't then I think I might have to bite the bullet. Just being given £20 by a relative made the decision easier mind. :p

I wonder what the physics are like, whether they are true to life or not. I'm hoping for a good simulation, although from reading the console thread and the drifting in an F1 car comments above, then it seems not everyone bought this thinking it may be more geared towards sim lovers?

I think they have found an excellent balance between arcade and sim. The options are there, you just have to select them. I put the difficulty onto medium and it felt more arcade like than Grid/Dirt. On Extreme however it feels much more like a sim than any of Codies previous titles.

Its a combination of both arcade and sim.
There are many many settings you can change or you can use a very basic quick setup options.
Removing all the assist does make the car a lot more challenging to drive, but having never played a sim myself, I cannot comment on how good a sim it is.

It is very pick up and play and then, if you like, you can go further in.

EDIT: I love the fact that I can take off all the aids but can turn down the AI level as I am not that quick yet.

Sounds like a good compromise then to appeal to both sets of fans. Something weird just happened on Steam, I added the game to my cart, clicked purchase, it gave me the message in the bottom saying "working" then it gave me another message saying that an unexpected error had occurred, and to contact Steam support. So I close Steam, restart it, I go in to my cart and see that Formula One 2010 is in my cart but it says I can't purchase it as I already own the game. I go into my library and there it is, waiting to be pre-loaded.
