***Official Formula One 2011 Thread***

Seems that, for some reason all mirror textures have decided to show up as grey, with no reflection. Safe to say this makes the Mclaren cars look bloody stupid...and makes the wing mirrors useless!

Help?

Can't seem to make the status of the car display at all i.e tyre/engine temp etc. Using a 360 pad there seems to be no button to turn it on/off.. Only pops up every now and then when my engi talks.

I thought there were weight penalties this year for using driving aids?

Haven't a clue. I haven't been following the forums on the dev diaries or whatever snippets on details that has been discussed this past year.

I must say though the handling is pretty sweet in this version. It's great not having to tippy toe over the bollards or have the sluggish brake bias slides that you can't control once it reaches that point of no return. Especially the hairpin at Monaco.

Montreal feels fantastic on this. Subtle power slides. Little things seeing the front wing jiggle. Being aggressive with the car. No bogging down 2nd and 3rd gear when short shifting like in 2010.

It's great the late braking just to the side of some of the barriers as the wheels lockup and the car just misses the barrier by an inch while still keeping it under control and a fast pace.

Same with Monza for the first corner, you think you've been on the brakes too late and just slip over the bollards then neatly take the left corner for the curving straight. It was terrible for understeer in 2010, then the rear would sluggishly come around, clip a bollard and spin out. Or totally overshoot the corner with 40 front/60 rear.
