What annoys me is when people don't give racing room. I was racing a guy the other day and we were very evenly matched in terms of pace but whenever we battled in corners he always turned in on me if I was inside or pushed me wide on exit if I was on the outside . . .ffs
 
Yes racing room is a must! When you on next? i want to try!

I cant connect to my mates co-op anymore just get connection failed messages. What gives?

Im guessing things like corner cutting, suspension hack thing. That random cone that acts as a brick wall...

but nothing performance or AI related
 
Well the makeshift desk I mount my G27 onto is starting to come apart, wobbles badly when I steer now, still usable but could give way at any moment lol Might still be on tonight tho.

Did you get this sorted in the end? my wheel was working fine now it keeps going light approaching corners and then yanks left or right to full lock. Game is pretty much unplayable now...

That was why I didn't floor it down the straight rushing into the corner, as I'm not familiar with the drivers yet. Sadly I never lasted a full race due to the game hard locking the PC.

I already saw pile ups on some of the corners during the first lap. Turn 9 and 12 at Catalunya.

@CaptainRAVE when we had that wet race and you started on softs was that a bug or was you actually on softs, It was throwing it down I was fighting for grip on full wets, yet you was banging in PB after PB on slicks. What gives ? Care to let us in on the secret ?

Completely agree with your first point.

Must have been a bug - lots of people were saying it, but I was actually on inters. Was tempted to go onto wets following some advice from HBK (I think it was), but I stuck with the default recommended tyre.

Getting a little tired with all the bugs - yesterday my save game corrupted (I hadn't backed it up since Saturday). Now tonight it can't find my savegame!!! :mad:

Agree... if I can't resolve this g27 locking hard left or right due to stupid ffb I'll be returning the wheel and uninstalling this junk its just one thing after another, you get things working fine and start making progress then something else happens like your save corrupts, game freezes whilst loading or wheel suddenly gets a mind of its own making the game unplayable....:mad:

Annoying isn't it.

For the second day in a row I have had to revert to the savegame I made on Saturday - so I keep losing my online ranking and statistics tracking - luckily I haven't done anymore of my SP career.

When you say hard locking left or right, do you mean at the edge of your turning angle? I did have a problem with that as the FFB suddenly disappeared and the wheel came loose and locked to the end of the set angle which was a pain, I did however solve that problem although cant remember off the top of my head.

Take Melbourne as an example, time trial starts with about 3 corners to go, once I get control it will go light and then as I approach the slow left hander just before the pits the wheel will suddenly grab and if I let go will turn to maximum left steering lock with a lot of force and stay there.

If I fight it I can get through the corner just about but then it will go light again and jerk in another direction with no relation to whats actually going on in the game, e.g. jerking hard left or right going in a straight line. Tryed with both the g27 profile in the game and the custom setting with override set to steering wheel, reinstalled the wheel... nothing makes a difference.

Ok not the same thing. I will post the settings I use later on, if it still happens its probably an issue with the wheel.

Well I had a quick go with it on NFS Shift and it wasn't doing the same on there so I'd be more inclined to think its something Codemasters have done... but then it was working fine on F1 before today, I give up.

There have been no changelogs released. At a guess, I think they're waiting for patch 1 to go live on all platforms before they release the changelog.

And yes, they've said this first one will be mainly optimizations, but don't rule out quite notable bug fixes. The 50 rank online was fixed in the PS3 patch, and according to a Steve Hood tweet, he suggests the same will be true for PC and 360.
 
if anyone is up for some races tonight can you add me GFWL= ocukpaulh I'm not very good but will race clean.
 
My settings for G27 are as follows, obviously this is my own personal style though and spent awhile getting to this.

Overall, Spring, Damper set to 100%
Enable centering spring ticked and 100%
Wheel Rotation 208, although may change to 215.
Allow game to change settings

In game settings are all at 0% except linearity at 1% and saturation 10%

Forcefeed back settings are all 10%, obviously if you want more you can.

Not sure if it will help Qel.
