Thought I'd post back after trying out the new patch. The problem I had before where those two files I mentioned were causing the game to crash when searching for my saved game isn't happening now. Can only assume the patch fixed it.

Has anyone else tested on the official Nvidia 280.26 drivers with the new patch?

Does anyone know what the corruption might be on my machine?

Although I can't help you, I'm using the same drivers and am having no issues (did an entire race weekend at Valencia without anything odd happening). I wasn't really checking my performance, but it seems at least as good as it was prior to the patch (might even crank the AA up to 8x to see how I fair).

And time trials don't seem to be working the last few days? The ghost car is there but it doesn't show my best time on screen or update it if I beat it.

Same for me, happened after I had set a few times.

I fancy some races. I assume I have to add the game as a non steam game to make use of the steamgroup? I bought the dvd version.

DL'd some cam mods earlier too, bleh bloody undrivable.

Don't think so. I think you can click Purdy's link, login on the webpage, hit join. That's what I did. I know nothing about Steam tho ;p

Honestly I've never had a problem with GFWL. Don't see what is so bad about it. Adds to my pointless Xbox achievement list.

Try deleting the hardware config to see if it "cleans" the issue

It can be found in "My Documents/My Games/FormulaOne2011/hardwaresettings"

I did this then re-installed the new 285 drivers.

Seems fine so far...
