Thought it would catch a few people out, when HBK asked me to pick a track :D coming up behind the Ferrari racing for a place on the pit lap and then watching I think it was andyuk ? drive straight into the wall, thinking it was the pits "priceless" think the pressure of the lotus in his mirrors got to him
 
God i really need to do the proper season to get used to some of these tracks and not the **** easy ones, (Melbourne, Montreal :p)

Shall we sort out a way of having a set track list for each night to allow some of the worse drivers to practice (me ;D)?

Retail DVD patch just came out btw.

Looks like they didn't fix the rank 50 thing :(

I could set up a thread and edit the OP each night i guess, have the first 5 people to post at a certain time that day to pick a track each. I don't know, some sort of pre set list would be nice.


Or, do a championship, and when it finished that night the top 5 in the championships pick a track each and post what they want later on the forum that night?

Or if someone has a simpler idea :p
 
The new update has totally screwed my game. It was working fine in DX9 mode before, no crashes. Now it crashesd in the menu, graphics flashing like crazy?!?!

I tested it again and 280.26 drivers stopped working. There was a big black line down the left side of the screen (sort of sticking out the car) Shadows were messaed and there was a green band of 'texture' down the side of the road. Im using an EVGA GTX570 not overclocked.

Game worked alright before as does everything else (including BF3 beta)

They best fix this or ive just **** £30

Try the GeForce 285.38 Driver beta driver mate this allows me to run dx11 mode flawless. prior to updating to this driver I had the same kinda problems your having.
 
So what did they fix? Still not seen anything mentioned.

Absolutely nothing by the sounds of it... they did make it inplayable for me on Nvidia 280 drivers. I dont like upgrading to beta drivers and the 280s are the latest official drivers

I get all sorts of texture corruption, crashes and everything now.

Is there a way to stop steam installing the new 'patch' I will delete the steam content and re-download, hoepfully being able to play it with out the patch
 
Updated and done 4 bench runs.

In DX9 with Ultra pre-set, my average fps has increased from 32fps to 40fps :D I use DX9 because DX11 gives no noticeable enhancement while lowering fps.

So far no crashes or unusual effects using 11.10 drivers.
 
Has anyone else tested on the official Nvidia 280.26 drivers with the new patch?

Does anyone know what the corruption might be on my machine?

Try deleting the hardware config to see if it "cleans" the issue

It can be found in "My Documents/My Games/FormulaOne2011/hardwaresettings"
 
Been playing this Game all week with out a problem, updated this morning, and played on.

Now when I start the game it gets to ''Checking Storage Devices ''....then this....:mad::mad::mad::mad:

That happened to me the other day when I tried adding a custom helmet (Mark Webber HD). Two of the files (higtxt_mark_webber.pssg and medtxt_mark_webber.pssg) caused my game to crash for some reason when it went to "Checking Storage Devices". Although the two files in question weren't the originals (I foolishly didn't backup as I had no issues with previous custom helmets), I was able to remove them entirely from the folder and get into the game without any ill effects.

The only thing I can think of for you, Streetlight, is that you're using mods (even if they're only custom helmets or something equally as "harmless").
