Just Pre-ordered for £19.99 at Simply Games.

As always its looking a great game, as-long as they keep improving on the previous years should be a great game.

Some good video footage here from Team VVV.

£20  I might, but not sure as the multiplayer puts me off in this game unless a buddy gets it.

I was all up for this next installment, however I bought pCARS on Friday and I just can't go back. pCARS has ruined the F1 games for me after racing around Spa in the Formula A all weekend. I had a quick go this morning with F1 2011 and the car handled like ... like a banana. Don't get me wrong, pCARS is quite a while away from being a fully fledged game with multiplayer but the potential it has is just astonishing.

Don't even get me started on how incredible it looks too. RIP F1 games, was fun while it lasted.

Might join you :p Got 2011? All I see are a few features and car/driver/track updates. There will be a demo apparently anyway.

There looks to be soo much more than just car and track updates. Sure 2011 had its problem but with a good group of people the races were fantastic.

2012 claimed improvements, the handling and suspension model has been done over again and apparently is meant to give you more feeling in the car with curb improvements as well (they were pointless in most cases in 2011). They have added more aero giving better rear grip at high speed while also having less mechanical grip in the slower corners making the cars more unstable. Also the insane slipstream is apparently gone so no more tailing cars that 1 second faster than you while sitting in lean. Tyre wear they say is going to be massive this year and we hope that car setups actually effect the tyres this year which will hopefully make setups more important and not just have the extreme fast mode on all the time. They have also made driving style matter in terms of tyre where if you spin up the rear tyres too much they will over heat and wear faster and we have seen this happen in a video already.

Added features include perc ferme conditions which for league racing is a very welcome addition and the local weather should be interesting too. The pen system looks stricter in places and if you go off line to far the car also slows down (yeah not the most realistic thing but its better then people being faster off the track in places). Also if you interested in Legendary Ai they are faster but since I only ever race in league races I have no interest in this area of the game.

All in all there looks to be some very welcome improvements and the lap times look a lot more realistic although only time will tell for that when us fast people get a handle of the game. GFWL is gone which is a godsend really also.

If F1 2012 doesn't live up the expectations then we always have CARS and RF2 so for us racing fans this is win-win. For £19.85 and a demo coming in 10 days we should get an idea how what it will be like.

I may have taken your position but with a demo ahead of Sales I will check the demo out and if it's as good as I hope I won't cancel my preorder. Kudos to any publisher brave enough to release a demo prior to sales
