Thanks. :) Downloaded most of what you've linked. Will get the track sponsor updates now.

Np just remember to backup your game with the Steam backup tool before you install them. I recommend 3x for the Realistic Damage mod, I found 4x and higher too be too much for AI cars.

I had two races left, sure to win the championship, then -

"save game corrupt"

Nothing I can do, its gone... I'm not happy as I didn't download a save from the cloud, it was a local copy so this is quite annoying...

Codemasters - you suck as i've got to vent my anger with that somewhere. Lots are blaming steam cloud saving, but I was using a local copy on the same laptop so I'm a little miffed as to what has gone wrong..!!

Damn, and I was all set to win this, oh well... Enjoyed it, but what a real let down I never got to the final race before I lost my save..!!

This game is so broken.....

Every race i can make up stupid amounts of spaces in the first lap then after that the whole field seems to be doing qualy laps ( yes matching and sometimes beating qualy times with more fuel and without DRS....). That means from lap 2 or 3 onwards in every race i cannot keep up with whoever ( it doesnt matter who it is, just whoever is in front....) as they dissapear into the distance. Meanwhile i just have a train of cars behind me that cannot over take

On pro AI ,no assists, and 25% races...

Had my best race so far last night, been a week or so since I last played so think the couple of patches that were released in the meantime have improved a few things.

Cars behind were managing their fuels levels, I had to back off due to tyre wear and turn the engine down, and they caught me up over several laps as you would expect IRL. The dry line "effect" seems much better as well on a drying track now.

Loving it, easily the best of the series so far.

Just got a 121.822 lap on Monza in time trial and only 343 on the global leader board, jesus, what are these guys using? rocket fuel? or am I just crap? I felt like I was ringing the cars neck and don't know how to find more speed.
Download my ghost and tell me where i'm going wrong.

Most of them are probably finding the tiniest little places where they can cut. Probably a fair few using hacks too.

On my second season currently in the McLaren and still really enjoying :)

Now if there using hacks then that makes me feel better lol. Yes mate, it really is the best F1 game ever. Hope you do well in your second season ;)

So, I ended up restarting my career a while ago due to the save game bug, but never got round to actually doing anything. Went through the young driver test again and got enough medals to start off with Williams. Thought it would be nice to be fighting in the lower points positions for a season.

I have come to realise two things.

1) Full-length races are way more fun, as you can really play around with the strategy and I find that I can attack more having more tyres available to me.

2) The Williams is a pretty quick car. Before my computer locked up (not the game's fault) I was running in second and chasing down the leader coming up to the final stops. Admittedly, this is probably down to me having done several hundred laps of Australia in an attempt to improve, but still...nice. :p
