***Official Formula One 2012 Thread***

Used a VPN to unlock it on Steam, all I can say is what the **** were they thinking with this understeer?! Using a G25 and there's just shed loads of it :confused:
 
Handling is miles better in full game, just don't try to play f1 2012 like f1 2011 and you will be fine.
 
I am on the full game. Codemasters have acknowledged that there is a problem with the handling model, there is going to be an update soon to fix the issue.
 
My car seems to randomly spin for no reason ? Nice gentle bends and the back just spins out.

So far 2011 is better than this for me they seem to have naffed up the handling and it feels a bit more arcade.
 
To be fair the game can be frustrating with the expert handling and no traction control in the wet. Too much for me so I'm glad this year is more arcade. To be fair my fave racing game of all time is outrun 2006 arcade.

Why release it then? I have seen some comments made on the official forums from people that played the game prior to the release, and they said that this speed sensitive steering which is killing us wheel users wasn't apparent at the time. So it must have been a late call or something for this to be added. People are commenting that you can be up to 5 seconds quicker with the joypad than you can with the wheel. :o
 
Finding it much easier then last years to play with no tc or anything.

But I am doing career and it was just stupidly hard in the wet i had to turn tc fully on. I am so far off the pace its crazy.

Anyways as it comes to the race its a fully wet race. After a couple of laps in the rest of the cars pit in for the harder tire when the track is still wet and its still raining so i think mwhahaha and i was in first place within a lap they had caught me they was using stuff like drs which should be banned when its wet. Its like they driving on a dry track and i am still on wet.

Seems like a really stupid bug

Interesting, inam. What happens if you downshift like the demo where you scream the gears to slow you down, do you get snap oversteer from it?

Didn't feel any oversteer while downshifting and also understeer problem is not as bad as Demo as well.
