I don't see any big depreciation shown in Fiestas. Focus and Mondeo have higher depreciation than Fiesta. I have seen some 2005 models selling at quite expensive used prices.

my fiesta lost £4k in 6months... Thankfully i was the 2nd owner so i benefited from it its only lost 3k in 2 years since.

About 23mpg on a mostly off boost trip to London and back. Average is probably around 15mpg.

08 Saab 9-3 TiD gets naff all, around 30mpg average.

'74 Merc 230/4 gets about 20mpg

I see about 250 miles to 70 litres . Dont want to work the mpg out as knowing its not good is enough without making me cry

Steady 70mph on the motorway I'll get around 30-35mpg. Mixed urban driving with a few dual carrage ways and the odd hoon I get around 27mpg. Not too bad at all.

Fiesta's are £12-13k new so even at the 'expensive' £5k for a 4-5 year old one thats high depreciation which wipes out the economy savings.

These prices are for new model, not the previous model.

Previous model - Fiesta Style 1.25 for example, used to sell for £9200 new. New models of similar spec are selling for over £11,000+.

What speed does the electric motor work up to?

I think it stops at 100mph (can stay in 3rd gear for that), its only an assist unit though that stuffs 13bhp into the flywheel in a very typical drivetrain arrangement.

I was being generic in terms of a new car, nothing to do with a Fiesta model specifically.

Pretty good.
Best I ever got out of my old 164 was 9.5mpg, that was with a bulk tipper though, which didn't exactly help fuel econmy

Who cares about fuel economy when you had a 16litre V8

Still, 9.5 is good for one of those!

Astra 1.6 hire car THINGY currently getting 34.4 mpg.

Can get it up to about 43 on a run, which int to bad I guess.

I drive often enough to think about it in terms of gallons per month rather than miles per gallon :\ think i'll pass on this as when i do go out mpg is least on my list of cares.
