Having another go? Third time lucky perhaps :D
lol thread merging is bugged/broken. I had this same problem a number of years ago on a gaming forum, just one of those things. Shame really would have been good to keep the threads all in same place. :)

No college today, so I'm getting on with rebuilding my pc - hopefully back in a hour or more lol. :)

Nice haven't looked on there for a few days, will add it too the original thread.

If anyone finds any useful information about best load-line calibration, or any other details on overclocking, i'll add it to the original thread.

I created a driver package, it's over 400MB big, need to find a fast download site, I may add individual download links - rapidshare is abit slow for one big file. :)

Cheers. :)

f7 update was ''Improve USB compatibility'
Sorted, hopefully this will fix my updating the bios with Q Flash, have to use the USB ports at the back of the motherboard.

I cannot use front USB also I have to remove my G500 mouse so that it recognises my various USB sticks, Windows 7 the USB ports run fine.

Just to confirm, I can now use the front USB ports on my Corsair 650D case to update the Bios now, the USB sticks shows up in Q Flash now after updating to F7 Bios. :) :)

Well I doubt many use Gigabyte Easytune, but if you update to a newer version - make sure you uninstall the previous version, otherwise it messes up and you cannot install or unistall Easytune at all if you tried overwriting.

I ended up taking drastic measures lol  reinstalling windows! crapcleaner etc didn't make any difference taking the files out of registry.

EDIT: Just looked at the LED - A0 also. :)

Just curious, any of you use sleep mode? If so, what LED status do you get when it comes out of sleep mode? Mine states 03 but I don't see any info in the manual regarding that number.

Their is status D3 but that states 'CPU initialization error' I doubt it's that anyway.

Its E0 meaning S3 resume is stared () (called from DXE IPL)

Out the manual !! :p
lol I never thought of that because A0 is from left to right looking into the case, but if it's E0 it's facing the opposite way... strange anyway. :)

i had similar issues with Asus P8P67 Pro board and creative X-Fi gamer card (PCI)
after i bought X-Fi Titanium (PCIe) all problems gone..
will report back after i recieve my Z77 UD5 next week and install X-Fi Titanium
I'm using the X-Fi Titanium (PCIe) with no problems at all, I've used it in slot PCIEX1_3 although with my Gigabyte GTX 670 WindForce OC the middle fan is really close to the X-Fi front box cable connector so any slight fraction of a nudge and it was ever so slightly hitting the fan, so I have now moved it to PCIEX1_1 and no problems there. :)

If your using a reference graphics card then it won't matter anyway. :)

Apparently the Corsair K90 only works with F8a and F6l beta bios, anyone confirm this in relation to the official F7 release?

Also...

G510 keyboard does not seem to work on Z77X-UD5h on bio F7*.

However, it works fine for both F6l and F8a.
G510 is in a USB 2.0 port.

Edit: contacted GTS about the issue prior to post and they basically told me to stick to "official" bios. Which at the time was the F6 and it did not support G510. Now that F7 is out, which i tried. Offical bios still doesnt seem to work with the G510.

I've tried all the F7*, including 'a', 'b', april and may release of F7. None seemed to work with the G510.

Edit: On F8a right now, everything seems pretty stable.

nelly could you save your profile for your 4.9ghz overclock and upload it just wanting to see if it will work on mine :)
That was on my MSI Z68A-GD65 (G3) so I know what the 2500K is capable of, I have all the voltages saved at various clocks etc in Excel.

Will be clocking it with the Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H today, will report back when I've fully worked out what volts etc this can do, it will take me longer with this board as it has lots more features, the MSI board a 10 year old could clock it. lol :)

Just read about the difference of blue capacitors and purple - they ran out of blue caps so they changed the manufacturer and the new manufacturer has different colour caps. Same specs.

Have you tried updating the BIOS?
Seems it helped Nelly with a similar issue here.
Tried the newer >> Intel USB 3.0 Driver v1.0.4.225 *NEW* >> Click Here ? that's what I am using now.

I can only update my BIOS using the USB ports at the back, it doesn't matter which BIOS or driver I use.

Once the system boots into Windows 7 the front ports work on my 650D case, probally not an issue at all just the way the motherboard works, I'm going to e-mail Gigabyte about it all the same though.

Well compared to my MSI Z68A-GD65 (G3) I wasn't able to boot into Windows at 5GHz even at 1.40v+, with this Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H I got into windows 5GHz @ 1.38v but cooling is against me, I reckon it needs around 1.43v.

I bet it would be stable on water cooling at 5GHz. I'll get on with clocking it to 4.8 to 4.9GHz, will post screenshots etc later this evening. :)

Just a quick update, banged straight in at 1.33v with manual voltage, will play around with Auto Voltage and DVID/Offset later on, just trying to find stability at the moment.

Will try lower volts later then onto Prime95 run, then will do 4.9GHz. This is using less volts than my previous MSI Z68A-GD65 motherboard, will post comparisons when I'm 100% stable.

CPU QPI/VTT = 1.100v
CPU PLL = [Auto]
IMC = 1.095v
Vcore Loadline Calibration = [Extreme]
Extreme Memory Profile (X.M.P.) = [Enabled]

One word of warning, when installing drivers makes sure you have Service Pack 1 installed, (Windows 7) as everytime I installed the chipset drivers my machine blue screened.

It was only after re-installing Windows and then installing the service pack the drivers went on fine.
Since reinstalling windows a few months ago I downloaded the latest Windows 7 with SP1 all in one from here >> http://www.mydigitallife.info/official-windows-7-sp1-iso-from-digital-river/

Then download the free Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool >> http://emea.microsoftstore.com/UK/en-GB/Service-Centre/Windows-7-USB-DVD-Download-Tool this will put Windows 7 onto a USB stick - you need a 4GB stick as mininum, installs really fast too, then just put your license key on otherwise you only get the basic 30 days - I've got Windows 7 Home Premium from when it first came out. All versions of Windows 7 are on the first link. :)

no no...what i am saying is that 2 slots - 1&3 - not working
i have 4x4Gb Crucial XMS3
2&4 slots working,dual channel
all 4 slots with ram - code 51,1&3 slots with ram - code 51
2&4 slots with ram - working
also had some crashes today,4 BSOD's...will wait for new bios, then decide what to do..gutted
Try this:
CPU QPI/VTT = 1.100v
IMC = 1.095v

Report back.
