**Official Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H Discussion Thread**

Just curious, can anyone use the mouse scroll button in the BIOS? it doesn't work on my Logitech G500 apart from that it works fine.

I use a basic Logitech Elite Keyboard think I've used it for about 8 years, works perfectly with any BIOS.

Are the Bios Flashes via USB? I Don't actually have a USB stick lol and might need to get one if bootable cd/dvd isnt available
It's well worth getting a USB stick only £4 for a 4GB one, like I mentioned in a previous post you could put Windows 7 onto it for a quick install, on a SSD too takes about 5 minutes, they come in quite handy.

I have not disabled the onboard GPU in EFI/BIOS (originally had it on auto, now set it to enabled) and have the GTX 680 fitted but no driver installed for that card yet

The monitor is currently plugged into the GTX680

I have updated windows also

Anyone know why I cant install the onboard MOBO Intel VGA Driver v15.26.8.64.2696 GPU driver?
You can only install the Intel VGA drivers if you remove the GTX 680.

Connected my front USB 3.0 ports on my case, they work perfectly when updating the BIOS, the USB 2.0 ports at the front don't, only differences is the USB 2.0 ports are connected via a cable to the motherboard, the USB 3.0 have a cable running through to the back ports, all work fine in Windows 7 anyway no big deal.

I still need to run prime95 stability tests set at 4.8GHz been busy messing about with graphics cards, will do it over night and report back.

Also, Intel LAN Driver v17.1 *NEW* >> Click Here

The only difference between version 17.0 and 17.1 is 17.1 has an auto install setup, 17.0 you had to manually update the driver via device manager either way they are both newer than the driver on the Gigabyte website/disc.

Funnily enough the Intel RST v11.1.0.1006 driver has now been updated on the Gigabyte website, I'll change the link so it's directly from Gigabyte instead of Intel now.

Are these all the approapriate drivers for the UD3H also?
Yes they are also fine for your motherboard, I just double checked the drivers they are the same.
spluff said:
do you need to uninstall the older driver first before installing or safe to install over?
you can install straight over, it will replace the older versions.

The actual Intel PCH Driver v9.3.0.1020, I updated each one manually as shown in the diagram below in device driver, as well as auto updating as it would not replace them by just doing a straight install. I've already updated mine last night. :)

I've always found with Intel drivers that doing...

INF_allOS_9.3.0.1020_PV.exe -overall
iata_cd.exe -overwrite

Out of interest can you try this in powershell...

Code:

What am I doing wrong as I can update the driver to the latest for the Controller under the IDE ATA/ATAPI controller. But when I download and then try to update the individual components as shown above I will either "browse" or "let me pick" and "have disk" and either way it will not update.

I have as Gigabyte Z77 D3H and the drivers are the same and yet I get the above error. Any ideas please..?
To manually update the driver you will need to download and install the freeware program 7-Zip File Manager >> http://www.7-zip.org/

  • Right click the INF_allOS_9.3.0.1020_PV and extract to its own directory as shown below.
  • Manually update via device manager and point to the directory of the decompressed files and it will automatically find the driver.
