**Official Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H Discussion Thread**

Iv'e got 16gb Corsair Dominator 1600mhz in dual channel setup. When Is set XMP or try to overclock them to 1800Mhz manually I get boot failure. Iv'e even manually set the RAM voltage to 1.65v and still wont boot. Am I doing something wrong or does this RAM not like overclocking?
Which model are the sticks and what version does it say on the sticks? Some memory chips clock better than others...

DDR3 IC Inquiry >> http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?t=68811

Have you tried slacking the timings to say 10-10-10?

I would google your exact sticks for reviews, to see if people have tried clocking and with the versions you have, see if their is any differences etc.

Also maybe worth posting here in here >> http://forum.corsair.com/v3/forumdisplay.php?f=201

New drivers checked as of 16th September 2012, also included the latest official F14 Bios on the original forum post, page 1.

Also to note, their is a memory leakage bug with Intel RST 11.5.0.1207, Intel removed it from their website, but Gigabyte still list it for download.
Use Intel RST v11.2.0.1006, as listed below. :)

Does anyone get DPC latency issues with this board?
Never bothered to check till you mentioned it, averaging around 120us, not sure if drivers make any difference, but I'm using all the latest drivers on the first page.

I used to get crackling problems even back in 2001 on the AMD KT266A chipset, even when I had a BFG GTX 295, but using a AMD 790FX Chipset chipset motherboard, try disabling SLI and see if the problem goes away.

I sold my GTX 295 because of it and bought a Sapphire 4890 2GB, the problem went away. I've never had this issue since then though, and never on Intel chipsets.

If i could swear at you stulid i would!!! :D;)

I know its a good board overclocks great etc no other problems as I have said !!
Except the stupid bug I had encounted when downloading!!
But there is still something fishy with anything USB related with this board!!!
But otherwise a not too bad board, not the best as USB is dodgey!!

Now I just need to find a good free firewall that wont lock me up????
Haha least you found out what the problem was, it's kinda amazing really that you actually solved it, well done.

I would try this, it's free >> http://personalfirewall.comodo.com/ see if it works with the USB.

I'm going to be using Comodo Personal Firewall once my Kaspersky Internet Security runs out in December, then just run an antivirus along side it. :)

Not sure, but whether I'm using my MSI Z77 MPower using Realtek Controller, or my previous Gigabyte Z77 UD5H, it would take a good minute or so to connect, it's never kinda instant. Not got my Gigabyte Z77X-UP5 TH setup to check that yet - uses Intel Controller also.

Probally sounds daft, but have you left it a few minutes after the initial boot, see if it eventually detects?

Are you using any virus protection? I know for a fact my Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 slows the process down.

no its a clean install, have left it up to about 30 mins shows in the device manager that the device cannot start code 10
This may help, guess you probally already googled the error code >> http://pcsupport.about.com/od/findbyerrormessage/a/code-10-error.htm

EDIT: All Windows updates done? Also updated the Bios? Make sure the Intel Lan is enabled in the BIOS? It's possible it could be a bug with an old Bios failing to initialise the controller on cold boot...

I prefer to wait for final bios version release on gigabyte site
That's okay, don't be a beta tester and help contribute to finding any issues for the whole community. I didn't make this thread soley for your benefit you know. :p

Settings below are what I saw for the Gigabyte Z77X-UP7, but the slew settings were also introduced in F15k beta BIOS onwards, for the Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H, as well as other Gigabyte motherboards.

Try the settings below for the ram you have, should help with overclocks.

Here are the new settings and what seems to be the best for different types of modules:

Start with level 2 and then increase for different levels of stability and such for samsung and PCS, samsung will for instance give you instance 51 on level 1 if you go too higher over XMP multiplier, but change to level 2 and it will not 51 and it will boot.

Someone in Poland received a revision 1.1 Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H, not listed on Gigabyte website as yet, apprarently one of the updates is a newer Atheros Nic.

how come u got rid or your up5 nelly? i would have had it off you:D
The totally sad thing is, I nearly e-mailed you to see if you would have been interested, but thought with it being about 4+ months from new tech, doubt you would have been bothered.

I got the UP7 for £200 - one day deal, so can't grumble at that - wasn't really worth switching, but always wanted to own a top end motherboard - will stick with UP7's if they launch quick enough. :)
