***Official Gigabyte Z77X-UP4 TH, Z77X-UP5 TH and Z77X-UP7 discussion thread***

Well I have just updated my UP5 to the 12e as I am having some memory check issues with the board giving me a D4 code on shutdown and each subsequent power up and now I am unable to access BIOS because the board cuts power to my USB2/3 connections untill after the splash screen has gone. Therefor giving me no way of entering BIOS which is pretty annoying to say the least. Mainly because it didn't fix the issue of the D4 :(

I think will have to use @BIOS to flash back to 12c so I can add my over clock and memory profiles again unless anyone knows of any way to access BIOS with out a key board haha.

Anyone know why I can't manually set my BCLK to 100 on my UP4? If I do it will reset my OC and clock down to about 99.3MHz. Auto it varies from 100.26 to 100.03. I guess it doesn't matter but it's strange.

I'm using F10b and tbh I like it. Mostly down to the added BIOS options. Need to find out what the Windows 8 boot options do.

Going to see if I can get it to backup to F10b too, as F9 won't allow me to do this.

The new BIOS image is pimp :) much better than before, I had to disable it before.

I'm on a up5 with the 12e bios, just seems really buggy to me from the off which is a shame.

One thing though I do like the new bios splash screen as I always thought the old looks cheap. Ah well!

what mouse you using brian? im using cheap generic one, worked fine in f9 but not f10b,its plugged in via razer lycosa keyboard

My mouse probably never worked. Good thing I don't like using it in BIOS I'm like a wizard on the keyboard anyway :D. I have the first Razer Deathadder 1800dpi. It will go up and down reversed and left to right normal, won't click anything though.

I have finally managed to lock the BCLK to 100.00MHz happy now.

How many of you need Internal PLL overvoltage enabled? My new chip seems to require it to boot at 4.5.

Still 4.5 1.248V :D

Maybe so, but surely keyboard is easier to use since you can type in decimals etc. :P So much faster than using a mouse. Gonna go try backing up the bios.

Well Key board and mouse was completely not powered until after the windows load, like USB power was disabled during boot??

I have reflashed to F11 as I had to use @BIOS and I could enter the BIOS just fine, both mouse and key board received power as soon as I pressed the power button. Seems very strange?

So, it seems that my ongoing hassle in trying to get the UP4 working with the rest of my kit is probably down to it being over-sensitive to PSU's: http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/mainboards/display/gigabyte-ga-z77x-up4-up5-th_7.html

As I'm awaiting the 2nd probably perfectly-functioning board to be returned from an RMA, looks like I have to also buy a new PSU if I'm going to have this board working. Would be great to know what PSU's everyone here is running with their UP4, so I know what I can safely buy!! Alternatively, the MSI MPower looks tempting...
