Hey guys, I recently got this motherboard with one of those 4770k overclocked bundles. My problem is, with Windows 8, if I restart my pc it just gets stuck on the mobo flash screen and kinda locks up and won't boot into windows.

Windows loads fine from a cold boot and shuts down fine, just won't restart. Anyone have any ideas what is wrong? Not sure if it's the motherboard or Windows 8.

Have you updated the bios?
When it locks up, what does the debug LED show?

I think it was "AD". I was wondering if it was OCUK's overclock settings, so i reset everything to default. Now it restarts fine. So it looks like the overclock :S

sure you don't mean AO? Mine states either AO, AE or 04 for sucessful boot. (Depending on what OS I use)

I have a couple of questions if anybody can help please.

1. Will this board fit 2 7970s and an ASUS essense STX pci-e soundcard. Can I put the 7970s in the first 2 slots then put the soundcard in the 3rd slot.

2. Is the top slot obscured by the cooler that I have shown in the bundle.

3. Are there any problems that anyone can see with it fitting in a Coolermaster cosmos 1000 case with an Alpenfohn K2 Mount Doom cooler.

I can answer question one. Yes. the board supports dual sli and 4 way crossfire.

Not sure on the others as i run an AIO.

I'll try!

1. Yes, you'll have to use the 1st and 3rd orange slots for the 7970's, you could then put your sound card in any other available slot (not sure if this will effect lane speed on the GPU's).

2. Shouldn't be.

3. Provided the case has sufficient room for the cooler shouldn't be an issue.

Yes, it will affect lane speed. But you'll barely notice it.

By how much? I don't want to end up running the cards at 4x.
 
ive posted in the hardware forum,with out checking here first,so i apologise for that.
i cant get my pc to post at all,no signal from the gpu and i have an error code of A6,something to do with hdds?
i have unplugged a ssd and a hdd also i unplugged the dvd drive,tried again and nothing,where am i going wrong?
trying to remain calm,but getting stressed with it tbh,lot o money shelled out and its not working (yet).
please tell me that this is not a mega problem

If you put the sound card in the bottom slot then it runs off the pch so your gpus will both be x8. Any other pics slots will result in x4 though.

Checked for firmware updates for the drives? I had issues with drives because the firmware wasn't up to date and Intel have much stricter informations if sata standards now and older drives dont always conform well enough.
 
its a new build with a samsung evo ssd and a new seagate hdd,i cant even get a splash screen on the monitor,no post nothing.
ive just bit the bullet and took it into a local pc repair shop,i just dont know what to do,i just hope i havent done anything serious to the cpu or mobo
