there is the link to the XO5 modded bios ;)
and the new things i listed above, incl new updated CPU Ucode ;) aswell as updated modules within the bios..... X05 was created by the LN2 overclocking group from australia, and was modifed by themself for high memory OCing and also voltage restrictions where bumped and new memory settings and stuff, it was modified by them from official 7a bios. then the bios your downloading was then modified again with updated code and modules.

its just a better version you know it makes sence, just remember to flash all bios`s from within dos or Qflash.

Cheers Lee, looks like it's sorted a few of us out :)

I am struggling to find 2 x 8gb sticks of DDR3 1600 on the OC shop that's low profile and on the supported list of modules on the Gigabyte list: http://download.gigabyte.eu/FileList/Memory/mb_memory_ga-z87x-oc.pdf

Can anyone recommend a couple of 8gb sticks that's getting good stable results on this MOBO - cheers.

You won't find every RAM on sale on that list as it would take a really long time to test every kit.

TeamGroup do some nice low profile orange coloured RAM in 2133 or 2400Mhz speeds.

Do you need both the 8 pin and the 4 pin 12v power adaptors connected on this board for it to work? The manual is not that clear on this point!

Reason I ask is that I just have the 8 pin attached right now and I am stuck in an infinite booting loop with motherboard post code saying 19 followed by 15...

Any help appreciated!

just the 8 pin is fine;) but if you have the extra plugs use them

edit what are the error codes for in the manual it will tell you

Hey guys, I have the UD4H but you might be able to help me.

I am experiencing a weird problem when stress testing. After a couple of hours of XTU I am getting a long continuous beeping from the board and I think this happens because at that point, according to HWMonitor and EasyTune my CPU fan and/or case fans show that they are at 0RPM (not all of them at once) but they are all working fine, temps are fine in the high 60's. I have all health settings disabled in the BIOS. Any ideas?

EDIT: Sometimes when I am loading windows, I get an error "PreSensorDetector has stopped working", is that from EasyTune? I really hate EasyTune, it's such a buggy software but I need it to control my case fans...:(

Just a stat to be clear:
The BIOS (X05 or any) is compiled (created) by GB R&D Taiwan ,by request of Team Australia group.

Nice to know - thanks. Btw do you know of any in depth guide to Z87 bios settings and what they all do/mean? the explanations in the actual bios are sometimes vague and don't give enough info - I like to learn.

Try booting up with 1 stick of ram in, 15 error code is :MEMORY , could be possible wrong memory timings or settings or a bad stick.
