**Official Gigabyte Z87X-OC Discussion Thread**

It just keeps randomly going to 4.3 now and then - It was sitting at 4.3 since boot but now its at idle.

But the point still stands i never overclocked it and ive set the defaults in the god damn bios.

bios's can sometimes stick

im not sure if it boosts to 4ghz+ if only one core is used either

look in msconfig/boot/advanced and makesure cpu box is unticked

Seems that F7G - or any bios beyond F7 make Crossfire impossible for me in games like BF4 I just get crashes.

This is the problem I was having before I replaced the motherboard.

I have never had this much issue with graphics cards and a motherboard before.

Its why I originaly RMa;d the board cos i couldnt run the cards in crossfire as i would get full screen artifacts and crashes.

It happend in single card mode to.

Well ive flashed the bios back to F7.

Hopefully it will be okay.

So F7 is fine, F7G is fubar?

When I had this board I used one of the X Bioses (X02 I think), but then I dont think I had Crossfire at the time.

F7G is fubar aye.

Anything from F7 onwards for me seems to make it impossible to crossfire in some games.

I might try other bios at some point lol but F7 seems to work for me at the moment but! I will test tonight and see if i get any crashes because if it goes back to the **** wreck it was I will have to RMA the cards lol.

Nightmare xD.

Remember you can have one BIOS on one chip with one set of settings and a completely different BIOS on the other chip with alternative settings.

Such as a 24/7 setting and an extreme setting, flick the switch before startup to pick what you want.
