***Official GTAV PC Thread*** [Important warning updated in the OP]

Can you guys stop getting orgasmic for 6 seconds and just answer?

( How much space is the game using on your SSD through Rockstar? )

I'm trying to copy the download from one steam folder to the other hoping it will continue to extract on my mechanical...

Annoying!

Anyone done this? My SSD has no space after it downloaded and stream tried to extract it. I'm now copying over the steamapps folder from SSD to mechanical, I'll re open steam and point the game to the mechanical, I really hope it doesn't want to try and redownload it all over again :(

it will I copied the depotcache folder to my hdd and then set gtav to be installed there, had to restart steam for it to find the downloaded files again though

The actual game files in the downloading folder are just the preallocated files all the encryped preload files you downloaded are the depot cache, it overwrites the pre allocated game files when it decrypts them

Thanks chap, I guess I have to wait another 10 mins for it to transfer lol

Neil it has the 59gb in the preload folder (forgot name) and so far it has another 53gb in the downloading folder so..

I had 67gb after i downloaded the preload then i thought id need more so moved 19gb star trek online folder out to diff hdd so had about just under 90gb left after preload files were dled. Now i have 32gb left.

Edit i just highlighted the preload folder and dl folder and total 113gb. Its been about 10 mins since i started the unpacking and the 343.mb patches when doing unpacking and the "busy writing to disc" i have now 1 min to go.

For steam version anyhow.
